Some people don't want to believe that there's someone peeking at you when you're asleep.Isn't he?

But is it really a lie?Lie
noun
a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.
Synonyms: prevarication, falsification.
Antonyms: truth.
verb (used without object)
to speak falsely or utter untruth knowingly, as with intent to deceive.
Synonyms: prevaricate, fib.
Telling someone something that you know is not true with the intent of getting them to believe that it is true is called lying. So the question should be "Should we lie to our kids?"
The TOG
YesHave you also explained to your little ones that the TV characters they love are just drawings some technicians/artists invented? That their Teddy Bear is nothing but cloth and stuffing some Chinese lady sewed together? That their pet simply ceases to exist when it dies? That animal mothers only feed their offspring out of simple instinct? That they really aren't hearing the ocean inside a seashell?
You noticed that too, eh.But is it really a lie?
He knows when you're awake
He knows when you're asleep
He knows when you've been good or bad
Just who are we talking about here?

No TOG, you decide.Let's see... Is it a lie to tell our children that God (since he basically has many of God's attributes) is an old fat man that lives at the north pole and brings gifts once a year, rather than that He is the creator of the universe who sent his son to die for our sins? I don't know. You decide.

If you had told me when I was a child that my parents were lying to me, I would have cried.I already decided long ago, and I think my decision should be obvious from my posts. I'm not the one asking if we should lie to our children. Like it or not, that's what it is - lying. People say it's just a harmless fairy tail, similar to Little Red Riding Hood or Snow White. But how many billions of dollars do we spend every year trying to convince children that Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White are real people? Santa Claus is not just a harmless fairy tale.
