How I feel or would have felt has nothing to do with it. I'm not going to lie to help perpetuate somebody elses lie. If a kid asks me whether Santa Clause is real, I'll tell him that he isn't. If that makes him cry, it's not because I told him the truth, but because others lied to him.

I believe in Santa Claus and I think you're lying saying that he isn't real.
You can't prove he is not real.

No, I wasn't trying to help you. That was just a polite way of saying what I wanted to say. What I was trying to do was to answer the question you originally posted, which was "Should we tell our kids that Santa Claus is real?"

We were just watching Tom and Jerry. The moral of the story was "Cats and mice should be friends." Tom was happily agreeing. The young mouse had given Tom a gift rather than treating Tom like the enemy, like the old mouse did. Wow, what a revelation, what insight, what genius!
I wish more people could learn that.

Did you know Teddy bears were first fashioned after Teddy Roosevelt. That means they would have been made in America first, I would think.
