Please pray for a family in our community. When I took the kids to Youth Group tonight, we found that it was just going to be a short prayer meeting instead. We found out that a family's little 18-month old baby was swept away in the river. The river is so swollen now and so swift because of the huge rain storm.

Please pray that the baby will be found. Alive if at all possible, and if that is not possible, at least that her little body might be found so that the family will have at least knowledge of what happend. It can be so hard, not knowing. :crying

Oh Father, please comfort this family in this night of terror and anguish. :crying Lord, I ask that by your mighty hand you keep this child alive, for your glory...but if that is not your will, then Father, I ask that you give this family the peace that passes all understanding, to grant them to be able to trust you and have complete faith in your perfect plan. I also ask, Lord, that this situation be used to bring them, and this church, closer to you, and that through this people may be brought to a saving knowledge of your son Jesus. :praying

:o That's horrible! I will definately be adding this to my prayer list. Please keep us updated, Dora. :praying

Shyanne's little body was recovered about a mile away from her home. I do thank God that her body was recovered. I pray God's comfort for this family.

Me too. :praying

This is terrible. :(

Oh my gosh, I could cry just reading this. :crying But at least her body was found and the family doesn't have to agonize over wondering whatever happened to her. I'm so sorry to hear this.

The memorial service was today. I don't know this family personally, but our former pastor told me that they are very strong, committed Christians who wanted to let all who prayed for them know how grateful they are for the prayers and support they received.

:verysad Lord, in this time of sorrow be with this family. words cant describe the anguish they feel. amen.
