The best class I ever had was...

Right now, I'd say Interpersonal Communications, it's funny in a way since I was so spooked about taking it at first. I thought that the name sounded intimidating since I'm not a big fan of speaking in public to say the least, but it turned out that we really didn't do much at all. Guess that was a great example of not judging a book by its cover. It turns out that it was really interesting and fun, it was more psychology than anything else to me and it helped me understand how we think and why we feel different emotions at different times. It really helped me out in more ways than one, and helped me work out some pains from the past, and how to address potential problems in the future. It was really interesting and I'm happy that I had to take it.

What was or is your favorite class? What made the class so great?
Abnormal Psychology. I loved that class the most because the subject matter was very interesting and I loved the teacher…she was really nice, really fair, and really cool. :D

I hope more people share their best class. Come on people...let us know. It means so much to know...really!

My best classes have been:
Ancient Rome
Ancient Celts
Ancient Daily Life, Travel, and Trade
History of Ancient Egypt and the Near East in the Bronze Age
Education in Ancient Rome

All of these class have been with my advisor/favorite professor. Can you tell I am an ancient history buff? Dr. Wick is the most amazing professor I have met in my years at Gordon. The man is absolutely awesome. He doesn't drone on and on while lecturing, tells funny stories, can relate fish at the fall of the Bronze Age to Shell Gasoline company. He is wicked cool. Though my bro went home for Thanksgiving, I was stuck up here. My birthday was the day after, so Dr. Wick invited me to his house for dinner and a movie. Two classes I have taken with him are indepedent studies which mean I meet with him in his office for an hour each week, basically going over research I have done the past week. I'm going to be so sad next semester when I don't have to show up to his office at 9:00 every Friday morning.
With that said, I should go finish the paper for him I have to turn in tomorrow morning.

Music in Western Civilization
Had it last year with my favorite professor (more like family) and inspired me to change my majore from straight up music to Music History.

Favorites: Art history:Renaissance to present

Most useful in the real world: Drafting (I have used it for numerous things) and public speaking

Anthropology :) As soon as the professor found out I was a Christian, the entire semester was basically him, another student, and I discussing philosophy, religion, and culture.

Right now i'm taking Old Testament. I have to say that its kinda hard but its my first "Bible" class. Its pretty cool. And Rachel (my gf) is in there and we read for stuff together which gives us some cool time to hang out.
