The biggest change coming our way is the warming of our oceans.

The biggest change coming our way is the warming of our oceans.

As the ocean warms it releases more water into the atmosphere.
This water becomes clouds that block the sun’s worming rays.
This results in a drastic cooling of our oceans bringing our planet into an ice age into the here and now.

How does climate change affect oceans and marine life?

The ocean plays a major role in climate dynamics: 83% of the global carbon cycle is circulated through the ocean. It has absorbed 93% of the excess heat from greenhouse gas emissions since the 1970s.

The ocean is home to between 500,000 and 10 million marine species, contributing enormously to the biodiversity of our planet.

Data from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows that the average global sea surface temperature – the temperature of the upper few metres of the ocean – has increased by approximately 0.13°C per decade over the past 100 years. A 2012 paper published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters revealed that the deep ocean is also affected, with one third of the excess heat absorbed 700 m below the sea surface. Modelling studies published in IPCC’s 2013 Report predict that there is likely to be an increase in mean global ocean temperature of 1-4oC by 2100.

If Jesus calmed the storm with 3 words he could end climate change in the same way. Western nations need to repent of our sinful laws and turn to Him. But we won't. I believe that God has hardened his heart against and turned us over to our evil ways.

Climate change is indeed a pressing issue that impacts our oceans and marine life significantly. The warming of our oceans is a concerning trend, leading to various consequences. As the ocean warms, it releases more water into the atmosphere, forming clouds that can block the sun's warming rays, potentially resulting in cooling effects and even triggering ice ages.

The consequences of climate change on our oceans are far-reaching. The ocean plays a vital role in regulating the Earth's climate, with a substantial portion of the global carbon cycle circulating through it. It has absorbed a significant amount of the excess heat generated by greenhouse gas emissions since the 1970s. This warming has implications for marine ecosystems and species, as well as for global biodiversity.

The increase in sea surface temperature, as evidenced by data from institutions like NOAA, is just one aspect of the larger climate change issue. The deep ocean is also affected, with heat being absorbed several hundred meters below the sea surface.

Addressing climate change is crucial for the future of our oceans and marine life. Recognizing the interconnectedness of these systems is essential in formulating effective solutions to confront the challenges posed by climate change. By taking the ocean into account and implementing measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, we can work towards a more sustainable future for our planet and the diverse life it sustains. Together, we must take action to safeguard our oceans and protect the delicate balance of our planet's ecosystems.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news folks, but this world has a time stamp on it. Sin, yes sin entered into the world and God's plan is for a new one .. Revelation 21:1-7

We have a new focus now:
2 Peter 3
10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
11Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

I totally agree as this world will wax worse and worse by the hands of man's own destruction until the time of the sounding of the seven trumpets of God's great wrath being poured out into the world as a last chance for those to repent and turn back to God before the door of salvation will be closed when Christ returns on the last day then that door is closed forever. We who are Christ own look for a new heaven and a new earth within the New Jerusalem that will be ushered down and we will ever more be with Christ for all eternity :sohappy

Yeah wasnt it the bbc which just got caught faking the temps... about 4 years ago they were saying that Australia was at 115 in this certain city and that flying foxes were droping out of the sky, so I go to that city's weather statsion and during the next 10 days it would only reach 90s twice... so then I go and post it but discus wouldn't allow it, i also posted other things and they posted so i went back and tried again and no luck... the truth wasnt allowed... this is all the prep work to have climate lockdowns so that you will own nothing and be happy.. hey claus

Who said it? The man who controls the weather will control the world

I believe I've heard this explained before... extra cold winters are caused by global warming climate change. Hot summers are caused by global warming climate change... too much snow or not any at all global warming climate change... your welcome

There now everyones in the know...

Yes , that is the party line . But what about the " ice age " they speak of ?

Two things are happening at the same time.

[1] Fossil fuels are running out.
[2] Earth’s climate is changing. Our planet has gone through three (3) major climate changes; from being covered in ice to a heat wave back to ice.

Splitting Of The Polar Vortex: The Arctic Is Melting In The Dead Of Winter

Models show the temperature is above freezing at the North Pole.

Despite the North Pole being shrouded in darkness for another month, temperatures in the Arctic have soared by as much as 45 degrees Fahrenheit above average. This has brought temperatures above freezing in February in one of the coldest places on Earth.

The North Pole just had an extreme heat wave for the 3rd winter in a row
As snow falls in Rome, the Arctic is getting alarmingly hot in the middle of winter.

It’s been downright toasty at the North Pole, at least by Arctic standards.
The northernmost weather station in the world, Cape Morris Jesup in Greenland, saw temperatures stay above freezing for almost 24 hours straight last week, and then climb to 43 degrees Fahrenheit (6.1 degrees Celsius) on Saturday before dropping again.

The Arctic recently sent us a powerful message about climate change
Arctic scientists aren’t usually afraid of a little cold. Windy conditions don’t usually get us howling. The beasts we pay attention to are usually polar bears. But last week’s “Beast from the East” triggered a few anxious conversations.

Social media memes aside, our problem isn’t this one extreme weather event per se. Our key fear is that the Beast isn’t really from the East – its birthplace was farther north.

Hasn't Earth warmed and cooled naturally throughout history?
Author: David Herring and Rebecca Lindsey

October 29, 2020

Yes. Earth has experienced cold periods (or “ice ages”) and warm periods (“interglacials”) on roughly 100,000-year cycles for at least the last 1 million years. The last of these ices ended around 20,000 years ago.

Earth has been a snowball and a hothouse at different times in its past. So if the climate changed before humans, how can we be sure we’re responsible for the dramatic warming that’s happening today?
How Earth’s Climate Changes Naturally (and Why Things Are Different Now) | Quanta Magazine

The largest global-scale climate variations in Earth’s recent geological past are the ice age cycles (see infobox, p.B4), which are cold glacial periods followed by shorter warm periods . The last few of these natural cycles have recurred roughly every 100,000 years.

Recent estimates of the increase in global average temperature since the end of the last ice age are 4 to 5 °C (7 to 9 °F).
That change occurred over a period of about 7,000 years, starting 18,000 years ago. CO2 has risen more than 40% in just the past 200 years, much of this since the 1970s, contributing to human alteration of the planet’s energy budget that has so far warmed Earth by about 1 °C (1.8 °F). If the rise in CO2 continues unchecked, warming of the same magnitude as the increase out of the ice age can be expected by the end of this century or soon after. This speed of warming is more than ten times that at the end of an ice age, the fastest known natural sustained change on a global scale.

The Snowball Earth hypothesis proposes that during one or more of Earth's icehouse climates, Earth's surface became entirely or nearly entirely frozen

Snowball Earth: The times our planet was covered in ice
Ancient rocks suggest that ice entirely covered our planet on at least two occasions. This theory may help explain the rise of complex life that followed.

The Earth has endured many changes in its 4.5-billion-year history, with some tumultuous twists and turns along the way. One especially dramatic episode appears to have come between 700 million and 600 million years ago, when scientists think ice smothered the entire planet, from the poles to the equator — twice in quick succession.
