why not? because its for a man. why does man have more muscles and the ability to naturally grow them faster and easier and have more blood amount then a women and bone density? why cant a man modify his body and become a mother. where it the direct verse against that? theres none its implied the bible merely says wearing clothing of a woman is a sin. so you can then make that argument too!\
so when you do all the heavy work, come see my wife. 50 years old right shoulder inoperable, its destroyed, doctors refuse to replace it. she is too young. and they said its from WORKING LIKE A MAN.
Excuse me? There's no scripture against becoming transsexual? Whoa. True enough, there's not a scripture that says "Thou shalt not be transsexual" but only a seriously closed mind could even come close to justifying transsexualism.
In Psalm 139, we learn that God fashions each one of us. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. . . . My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. . . . your eyes saw my unformed body” (verses 13-16). God’s creation of each individual must surely include His designation of gender/sex. His wonderful work leaves no room for mistakes; no one is born with the “wrong body.”
After the fall of man, it did not take long for gender issues to become confused. In Abraham’s day, homosexuality was widespread in some cities (
Genesis 19:1-7;
Jude 7). The Bible is unmistakably clear that homosexuality is a sinful perversion of God’s gift of sexuality (
Romans 1:18-32;
1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
In the Law, transvestism / transvestitism was specifically forbidden: “A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this” (
Deuteronomy 22:5).
Another possible reference to transsexualism is
1 Corinthians 6:9, where “male prostitutes” is listed as a separate category from “homosexual offenders.” The King James Version uses the word “effeminate” here; that is to say, the “male prostitutes” might be transsexual men who act as women.
The Bible calls all such gender distortion sin. Transgenderism is not genetically based, and it is not simply a psychological disorder; it is rebellion against God’s plan. But following this realization is good news: sin can be forgiven and lives can be changed through faith in Christ. The Corinthian believers are an example of such a change: “And [homosexuals] is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (
1 Corinthians 6:11). There is hope for any sinner, transsexuals, transgenders, and transvestites included, because of God’s forgiveness available in Jesus Christ.
They say that if one tortures the text enough, that one can can make it say or not say anything they want. But this is not right and you know it brother. So to suggest that as long as the transsexual doesn't wear womens clothes, that it might be ok...is a real thin stretch and a certain torture of the text. There's also Romans 1
Romans 1:26-32
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them./(KJV)
So are you suggesting that as long as they don't wear women's clothes or have sex, then it would be ok to have the operation? But even so, what's the point in having the operation then? And to not acknowledge God or His plan for that particular person is also a sin. So your assertion lacks merit. There's also quite a few texts in the Torah about it. Leviticus I think and of course Deuteronomy.
