How much of the Future is Forever Determined and Established?
How much of the future can be changed or have the potential to be changed with the freedom of our free will?

Im just curious of how much everyone's destiny is made by us, and how much is made by God

The part that can't be changed is when the Lord makes us an offer. if we have had the gospel preached to us or been placed in a situation where we heard it, that was likely not by our doing but arranged by God. What we do with it, however, is where things come down to us.

Talk to a Calvinist and you will get an entirely different answer, but that would be mine.

God bless,
Hidden in Him

Yeah Hidden In Him the Calvinist would say Everything of Everything is Already Planned. But God is the God of the Present and not just the future.

We probably won't find out the truth of this whole question til Heaven.

Peace

I wonder... do you suppose questions like this could fall under the umbrella of vain babblings (see 2 Timothy 2:16). As you noted, we may get the answer in heaven. I understand that it may be fun to speculate but for now is there really any value in asking questions we can't answer this side of heaven? I know when I do it, I find myself feeling some small sense of doubt creeping over me and I don't like it.

Just a thought.

God knows all and

This is negated if not

The often quoted I know my plans for you and their good.

He knows what will do before we do otherwise Jesus wouldn't have been decided to die before the foundations of the earth .

I take comfort in that despite my lack of any control .

.I have a master that provides .the dollar bill is likely going to fail in my lifetime as we have now all taxes paying on interest a trillion dollars a year .

We don't have a trillion dollar bill if we took all the billionaires money .one trillion is a million billion.

Saving all that I can may not do much .I work with two retirees who simply saved and have pensions and it isn't enough . Cola goes up and savings dont

Yeah WIP I guess I can count this question as something that won't be answered.

I need to just live my life and realize this:

In Spite of sin, but because of God we will be okay and things will work out.

Hey All Again,
I hit the reply button prematurely.
Great question SunflowerCross. The answer depends on your perspective. God is all knowing, and therefore nothing is a surprise for Him.
You, on the other hand, have a very limited knowledge of your future. Benjamin Franklin said that the only things we know for certain are death and taxes. As a believer, you know also that you limit yourself so that habitual sin is not a part of your future. Beyond that, your future is whatever you make it to be.
Keep walking everybody.
May God bless,

Hey All,
Don't just live your life SunflowerCross, take control of your life. Your last sentence leads me to believe there is something else you are seeking.

"In Spite of sin, but because of God we will be okay and things will work out." Quote from SunflowerCross

Is there another question about an underlying condition, for which you looking for an answer?
Keep walking everybody.

I was taught that when we stand before Father at the end of this life; He will reveal the purpose which our life did serve. As such, I would say that many of the choices we are presented with in life are indeed Written; but our free will does determine the outcome.

Josef yeah josef I just know that this life is full of let downs and disappointments, but life is still alright.

I can see how life can be so much better for everyone and I hope that this is how it is in heaven.

But like my mom says, we should do our best to make heaven on earth.

In heaven there will be no curses, and perfect peace, and no pain. PTL

Pray that I let go of the past, and focus on what lies ahead. phi3-13

Pray that I do my best to always be my genuine, real, and original self.

Pray that I only seek approval from God and loved ones, and that I do not try to be famous or try to get recognition from everyone publicly.

Pray that I am satisfied in my soul and spirit. And life never goes downhill ever again. PTL

Hey All,
Amen to that prayer SunflowerCross.

James 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Pay attention to the last part of the verse. There is a reward for your patience.
You will be made perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Perfect - finished, completed
Entire - Whole, undivided, unbroken
wanting nothing - desires fulfilled

One last thing; this does not stop you from pursuing your dreams. God has left what we want to be, and how we become what we want to be, up to us. Pray for guidance. Then take the steps necessary to become what you choose to be.

1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

The key is in how a person asks.
Keep walking everybody.

What is determined and established is always by the choices we make as God will not make the choices for us as the power of life and death is in the tongue.

Proverbs 18:20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

I dunno ?‍♂️
God says His word will not return void. His will for our lives comes to pass at least…

The big things…repentance salvation sanctification.
