Bible Study The Jew, The Gentile and The Church 1 Cor.10:32.

If anyone reading the Bible and paying any attention at all, They can not fail to see that more than HALF the Scriptures are about one people (The Israelites)...or the JEW. And we see that The Jew has a personal and distinct relationship with the council and dealings with God. Being separated from the mass of mankind, God has made with them a "Covenanted" relationship, giving them SPECIFIC PROMISES, not given to any other people. Their History alone is told in OT Scripture with other nations mentioned, ONLY as they touched Israel.

Continuing our reading of Scripture, We find another distinct body called The Church (called out one's or assembly). This body also has been given a distinct and specific relationship with God, and like Israel, has also been give specific promises of their own.

We then see another ethnic division or class of people, distinguished in every way, both from Israel and The Church...... The Gentile, considered merely as human beings. And all have a common ancestor "Adam". Acts 17:26. From Adam to the call of Abraham, every man was dealt with the same. No one of the race was dealt with separately. But from Gen. 11:10 to Mal. 4:6, The Jew is primarily in view. The Church is veiled (Eph. 3:9-10). In The Gospels, The Jew is primarily in view, The Church is only mentioned as future to appear with the world wide preaching of the Gospel to the Jew and Gentile. (Rom. 15:8; Matt. 16:18; 28:19-20)

From Acts 1:1 thru Rev. 4:1 the Church is primarily in view, The Jewish nation is temporarily set aside (Acts 15:13-18). From Rev. 4:1-19:21, The Jew The Gentile and apostate Christendom are in view. Comparing these Scriptures give a brief view of the comparative position of the Three.
  • The Jew......................................The Gentile.......................................The Church
  • Rom. 9:4-5................................Eph. 2:11-12.....................................Eph. 1:22-23
  • John 4:22.................................. Eph. 4:17-18.....................................Eph. 5:29-33
  • Rom. 3:1-2................................Mark 7:27-28....................................1 Pet. 2:9

Whats your point?

The Church is made up of saved Jews and Gentiles, who are now neither Jew nor Gentile.

Everyone else fits into a category of either Jew or Gentile.

Hi JLB, It's not my point, The point is there if your looking for it. Failure to see the difference between the ethnic divisions and their plan in God's kingdom leads to self interpretation. The Scriptures are hidden when they are treated with carnal reasoning. Even the Disciple did not understand what God was doing till He opened the minds and hearts of His own. (Luke 24:13-32). All born again believers will suffer tribulation from the principles of this world....it is a sign of salvation....Peace in Christ and tribulation for His name sake, from an antichrist and evil world. (John 16:31-33) (I speak from experience). All material promises made to Israel as a nation will be fulfilled under the Davidic Covenant. (2 Sam. 7:4-19) (Psalms 89:20-37) (Rom. 1:1-5) (Acts 1:4-7) (Rev. 19:1-21). During this time.....and beyond, The Church will rule with Christ (Rev. 1:4-6) (Rev. 21:2-27) (Rom. 8:14-17)....A lot to teach......very few are listening, as is evident by the casting away of God in the United States.

There are two types of people in the world.

Believers and unbelievers.

Whether Jew or Gentile, the condition for salvation, to be born again, is believe.

Those who are in Christ, are neither Jew nor Gentile.

At the same time, it could be said, that those in Christ, are both Jew and Gentile, in which we are sons of Abraham, by faith in Christ, who being the forerunner of faith for both Jew and Gentile, seeing that he was a Syrian, yet contained Judah in his loins, and is Considered the father of the Jews.

  • but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; Romans 2:29

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Colossians 3:9-11

  • where there is neither Greek nor Jew

again

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

  • There is neither Jew nor Greek

And we see that The Jew has a personal and distinct relationship with the council and dealings with God.

Not anymore, scripturally. Only figuratively, as pertaining to the spiritual jew. There's a reason he calls them (the physical ones) children of the devil and of the synagogue of Satan. There's a reason the antichrist is going to play God in a Jewish temple.

Without Christ, you're antichrist.

I now understand your doctrine.

Israel lost her right to be called Gods chosen people, (God did save a faithful remnant), as they fell into idolatry worshipping other gods as they allowed themselves to fall from Gods grace as they followed the lust of their own hearts as they practiced Judaism, 1Kings 9:1-9. God’s judgment against them led them to be captured, 605 – 537 B.C., by Nebuchadnezzar and taken into Babylon for seventy years while Nebuchadnezzar’s army killed many Jews in Judah and Jerusalem destroying the whole city of Jerusalem including the first Temple that was built through King Solomon’s reign in Jerusalem.

The second Temple was built under Ezra’s leadership and Israel continued practicing Judaism and their Temple was desecrated as part of an effort to impose Greek-oriented culture and customs on the entire population. Roman rule refurbished the temple as Herod, Romans vassal king, rules the land of Israel. In 70 A.D. the Temple is once again destroyed. The Temple Mount was taken over in 691 A.D. as the Arab nation built the Dome of the Rock and there has not been any other Temple built since that time on the original Temple Mount.

God gave Israel 490 years to repent. They were set free from Babylon when the Medes and Persian conquered Babylon (Chaldeans) around 538 B.C. They were allowed back in the land and to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, however, they still did not repent for their sin of idol worshipping and they continued to receive punishment from God as the kingdom was taken away and eventually taken over by the Roman Empire. Malachi Chapter 1-4.

The 490 years were up and many of the Jews not only did not repent but they killed the very Messiah they had been waiting for as well as in 24 A.D. they made an opened display of rejecting the Gospel message as they stoned Stephen being the final messenger that was sent to give them their last chance to repent. The Jews were now rejected as God’s chosen people and were no different from the Gentiles as from that time forth each individual, Jew and Gentile has to make their own decision to accept or reject Jesus as Lord and Savior, John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10. The disciples were called first to preach to the Jews, Matthew 10:6, and Paul was called to preach to the Gentiles, Acts 22:21. God has saved a remnant out of the twelve tribes of Israel even up to a thousand generations that have always been faithful to Him, Exodus 20:1-6; Psalms 105:7, 8, but those who have yet to accept Jesus as Messiah God will continue to cut them off.

2Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
