The Last Days Will Be Filled With Unfaithfulness To The Spirit And Flesh
I have always been intrigued by Jesus Christ saying that man's last days will be like Noah's time and like the days during Sodom and Gomorrah.
In Noah's day the issue was women having intimate relations with satanic beings that produced offspring. This activity brought God's condemnation of a flood. In Sodom and Gomorrah's time two angels came to warn Lot and his family to flee the immorality before God initiated judgment.
It is interesting that the stipulation of the warning by the two angels was that they should flee and not look back. Of course it states in the bible that Lot's wife did look back and she instantly turned into a pillar of salt while God initiated judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah.
In both stories the woman did not fare very well. I believe that the woman is representative of the Christian church since the church is described as the bride of Jesus Christ.
In the story of Noah satanic beings seduce the women into intimate relations. Today this is indicative of the Muslim religion seducing the Christian church. The bride of Christ (hint: Christian Church) has stopped being faithful to her husband (hint: Jesus Christ) and has instead gone off and become the adulterous partner to the Islamic Faith.
Today we see many Christians embracing Islam as a equal partner along with Jesus Christ. This ménage à troi of religiosity is what will bring God's condemnation as it did in Noah's day. Noah's time reflects a deterioration of ones spiritual commitment and this is indicative of today's Christians embracing Islam (hint: and/or the antichrist when he/she arrives).
Meanwhile the story of Sodom and Gomorrah reflects a deterioration of our commitment to our flesh that God purposed for a man and a woman. Today the Christian church, the bride of Christ, is given up on its commitment to its husband Jesus Christ and is seeking the approval of all those that ignore God's declaration that a man and a woman are the only relationship that God ordains.
Both stories of Noah's Flood and Sodom and Gomorrah are highlighting the fact that Christianity is not a faithful partner and has a sinful desire to have multiple partners (hint: multiple religious beliefs and multiple sexual beliefs – spirit and flesh) that brings disgrace and disrepute upon the Godhead.
In the story of Hosea God orders Hosea to marry an adulterous wife. In the same way Jesus Christ marries an adulterous wife, the Christian church. The book of Hosea emphasizes that disloyalty to God was spiritual adultery. Today we see the same spiritual disloyalty, and hence spiritual adultery, that occurred in Noah's day with the Christian church seeking the approval of other religions and the disloyalty to the flesh whereby the church seeks to mollify the sin of homosexuality as in Sodom and Gomorrah's day where consequently Lot's wife (the Christian church) turns into a pillar of salt.
Jesus Christ said that the last days will be like Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah where the Christian church will become adulterous and disloyal and seek out the practices and approval of other religions (hint: Islam) while simultaneously championing the sin of homosexuality.
We are indeed in the last, and final days, of mankind that will ultimately lead to the wicked being judged as depicted in the Book of Revelation. Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and rest assured that when God moves to bring judgment against man's unfaithfulness and wickedness, God, in the person of Jesus Christ, will snatch up all those who remain faithful to him to be with him in heaven, and this is called the Rapture!
God Bless
