Yes, it's very interesting! Of course everyone will have there own account, but this is when God's fury comes up in His face and He sets out to destroy all the nations that come against His chosen, Israel.
It's the Battle of Armageddon. The world will see that God has loved Israel all along, and He will save them from total destruction.

According to scripture,this event in Ezekiel 38 takes place after the first resurrection mentioned in Ezekiel 37.
It corresponds to revelation 20:8-9.
This is about 1000 years after the beast and false prophet are cast into the lake of fire during the war of Armageddon ,and the promised land is occupied by the saints of God.They dwell in the land in peace and safety without any walls or fences .Having already beaten their swords into plows,they live in the land in peace.

The last days have been here since the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. The Jews were hoping He would end the unjust rule of man on earth then. He will only do so when He comes again.
These are still the last days of man ruling himself on earth.
