The last to be sent by God

Several people on this site have said that God will send two more prophets.
Will those people now speak up and tell me if Jesus is wrong or not?
Is Jesus the last to be sent by God like he claimed?

Seeing I just quoted Jesus saying he is the last prophet sent by God, Im sure he is correct.

Christ sends his own messengers to preach the gospel though. Jesus gives his witnesses instructions on how they should behave, what they should or shouldn't do. He tells them what to say and it's all in the gospel.
Jesus came in his fathers name. Those who are sent by christ to deliver his message come in his name.

IIt's all in the gospels.

Christ will send His prophets to Jerusalem, and Jerusalem will kill them.

Christs prophets will be persecuted throughout israel in every city.

Jerusalem will welcome the false prophet.
The false prophet will tell the people of Israel all they want to hear.
The false prophet arrives in Israel 42 months before the time of the end and his armed forces will occupy Jerusalem for that amount of time.

Nonsense. The beast which comes up out of the pit kills them.

See? You were told this yestaerday by another poster.

You ignored it, nonsense returns!
The king of the south attacks the king of the norths armed forces in Jerusalem.

You say it is nonsense because you don't understand. It makes no sense to you.
But you not being able to make sense of this conflict, leaves you believing it's all nonsense.

Just because the king of the south attacks the king of the north does not make the king of the north good.It only means they are enemies.

I said I think you are a troll because of your manner of speech when you reply to other posters. A perfectly reasonable post chocked full of truth can be given to you by knowledgable member, and your response is to not reply to what what said to you but you go off on a tangent talking about anything else. So it goes like this, you read someones post to you and immediately reject or even considering it in any way. So you are unteachable.

I think you want to be right above all else. The focus should be to get at the truth above all else. And you refuse that so you must be a troll.

Anyone and everyone makes mistakes, but can they be corrected? Are they teachable? I myself have made thousands upon thousands of mistakes in my time. So this gives me an eye to be able to see when someone else makes that same mistake, lol.

I'm guessing you are between 18 and 30 in age because that was the age where I knew it all. This place is for discussion but all you want to do is preach your version. And youdon't even say you are a christian, right? So what could we think besides troll?

You have to remain teachable in order to be able to grow.

Here is the passage you quoted —

Then He began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a place for the wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers. And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed. Again he sent them another servant, and at him they threw stones, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some. Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ Mark 12:1-6

Where in this passage does it mention the word prophet?

Here is what Revelation 11:3-6 says —

And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.”
These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire. Revelation 11:3-6

These are given power to prophesy, but are not necessarily called prophets.

  • And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy
These are two witnesses that God gives power to, so that they will prophesy.

These two witnesses are called the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.

These also have power to:

These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.

Although these two witness have been given power to prophesy, and power to call down fire, and withhold rain, like the prophet Elijah, as well as turn water into blood, like the Prophet Moses, they are not specifically called prophets.

Do you believe Elijah and Moses were evil?

If I not mistaken, it was God himself who made fire come down from heaven and turned the water in egypt to blood.
These two in revelation are quite different then Elijah and Moses.

Besides, Jesus said he is the last prophet to be sent by God. That should be the end of the matter.

Edward
Your not teachable.

I suppose I should be flattered that you quote my own words to me. I saw you quote my words to you to another poster too, Lol! So perhaps some of my words has made you think?

Next you'll say I am trolling you, right? Well, I explained why I said the things I did to you. So your turn to explain yourself. WHy is it that you think I am unteachable?

Ok.

Please give the scripture that says Jesus is the last prophet sent by God.

Here is a scripture that comes close —

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; Hebrews 1:1-2

Does Jesus speak through those whom are sent?

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; Ephesians 4:11-13

And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. Acts 11:27-28

Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away. Acts 13:1-3

I've already given the scripture of Jesus saying he is the last prophet sent by God. If you have chosen to ignore it, what good would it be to post it again. You will continue to try to prove him wrong regardless.

I quoted the verses you gave from your Bible Hub links, in post number 10 in which you quoted In your post number 12, so you know very well that Jesus never said He was the last prophet.

Again, here is the passage where you claim Jesus said He was the last prophet.

Please indicate where the word "last" or "prophet" is used in this text which you quoted.

Your not teachable.

Edward is one of the most teachable people you will ever meet.

It's just your absolute nonsense is so far out of bounds of anything scriptural, he rejects it, as any reasonable Christian should.

I just get finished with a post about being humble and now I get to read this. Not many people have said that that I knew about, about me. Thanks for the kind words, Brother. But being teachable is crucial for us. I'm still learning about more of my past mistakes, lol. So it's worth it. Praise the Lord!

Does anyone else here want to take a shot at saying Jesus is wrong?
In one sense you are doing some good.
In another sense you have a few reversals that confuse us all.

What the Father says is what God the Father says.

What the Son says is what God the Son says (Jesus).
Their statements are in agreement, but sometimes slightly individual.

Their is spelled Their
Thier has a reversal, and is not really a big deal, especially to some people. Other people freak when they see the error.

I have some issues myself. I really depend on spell check, but I freak when spell check highlights what I wrote. Looks good to me, but (e) may be an (a). Spell check does not always know what word I want.

Just look over your who said what before you post. I know the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are in agreement as the Godhead, but yet slightly different.

This is not meant as an English police language attack.

The last car we bought was a Toyota. That does mean we will never buy another vehicle.

When in the past we bought a Honda (and it was the last car we bought at that time), it did not imply we would never purchase the Toyota.

What each of us writes seems so right to us. There can be issues though. No telling how much more refined this post could be.
