The Points work or they don’t work?

I just want to ask this brief question. I tried to use the like button to give a like on someones post. Sometimes the like button works to give a like. Other times there is no like button to push. In this case I can’t give a like even if I want to.

Why is it then sometimes a like is allowed and sometimes it is not allowed? Does this happen to you also?

Certain forums don't have likes.
It's set up that way.
