The Power Of Words

This is so powerful of a teaching
The power of words! Yes words can hurt, they can heal, they can change lives those are the power of words.

Words do not have the power to manipulate God, to get one what one wants by saying the right words in the right way, that is magic.

Woman helps you, great just becareful of the dangerous aspects of his teaching that implies or actually states what I've just written.

Proverbs 18:20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Speaking of the power of words, I have a riddle for you.

When Jesus was here on earth and had His ministry He seemed to go around quoting Old Testament scripture a lot. Why was that, seeing He was here to usher in the new covenant?

Because the O T was and still is the word of God that foretold what Jesus was coming to do.

Had you read theN T you would have known that the apostles, the deacons and Paul all used the OT when preaching or arguing with the Jews just as Jesus did.
They had no other scripture untill they wrote the N T.

I've read the NT. I was making a different point Brother. I was going to say, Because He couldn't improve upon it. It was a perfect word when it was first spoken.

Ok, I agree. The apostles quoted OT too. They probably knew it was a perfect word which bears repeating.

Such is the power of words. A good choice of words are eternal. A bad choice of words however, (who's ever said the wrong thing before? I know I have). What I think it boils down to is, every single thing which comes out of ones mouth is either a curse or a blessing. It either tears down or builds up. That's very powerful if you ponder it.

That's why gossip is so bad. Some people use words as weapons by being critical of others, or even worse. Talking bad things about someone behind their back is bad enough but to voice negative energy and insults to people's face has a potential to do even more harm than behind their back.. It can affect people in a bad way if not countered by rejecting the lies and curses and speaking positive faithful words over your life and the lives of others.

And the proof is in scripture. By mans mouth he will be justified or condemned. So What About Bob? was right, lol. I feel good I feel great I feel wonderful I feel good I feel great I feel wonderful...It works!

John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
