We're headed that way. It's been obvious now for at least over 20 years.
I just didn't ever think it would all happen so fast.

It should be noted that the Mark of the Beast is NOT a high-tech RFID chip, nor a barcode implant on the hand. It is a literal tattoo that identifies the people’s allegiance to the Antichrist Kingdom. Given the upcoming implementation of a global cashless society from the UN, it will not be hard for Satan to control all financial activities once the Antichrist obtains total control of the world economy. Anyone who chooses to accept the Mark of the Beast will be eternally condemned by God into hell (Revelation 14:9-10). Those who don’t, that is to say, all the Tribulation saints who believe in Christ will choose to face starvation, even at the cost of experiencing a slow and agonizing death from hunger. The Bible also refer to the number 666, which is another way of spelling out the name “Caesar Nero” in Gematria. This is supported by the Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus, a manuscript of the Greek Bible dated back to the 5th Century CE. The number 616 is another way for spelling out the same name, except it is transliterated into ancient Hebrew (the original manuscript is written in Aramaic before it is translated into ancient Greek. The Greek transliterated into Hebrew carries the number 666). The prophecy comparing the Antichrist to Caesar Nero is a fitting one indeed—Nero is a crazed and cruel Roman emperor that reigned from AD 54 to AD 68, who blame and persecute Christians for the Great Fire of Rome he is suspected of starting it in AD 64. The last 4 years of the reign is marked by unabashed barbarity towards Christians, with crucifixion, immolation, or being thrown and ripped apart by wild animals at the Colosseum a common means of martyring faithful believers. The Antichrist will thus in a sense carry the wicked legacy of Caesar Nero by similarly persecute Christians in that manner as well. Thus, it can be said that all those who bore the mark of the beast are in a sense considered little “Nero” who embrace the depravity of the former tyrant in some fashion. The Mark of the Beast may serve as a commerce passport as well, after all, nobody can buy a ticket to travel if they don’t accept the Mark of the Beast in the first place.
