The Temple Will Be Rebuilt In Nazareth

Looking at the world's hostility towards the Jewish people today one wonders if there is a biblical parallel. For shear violence there is the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. If we consider that the two angels in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah as the two witnesses in the book of Revelation, then the wicked inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah are all those people who are not Jewish that are left behind after the rapture (for the Christians would have already been raptured). Lot would then represent the only righteous people left (those who are circumcised) which would represent the remaining Jewish people after the rapture.

In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah when the two angels arrive they are invited to stay at Lot's home whereupon all the wicked inhabitants become violent towards the two visiting angels.

Notice that the two angels first appear amongst the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. They are then invited by Lot to stay at Lot's house which roused the crowd outside into a violent frenzy. We can consider that Lot's house is symbolic of either the Jewish temple or the nation of Israel as it will be in the end times as outlined in the book of Revelation.

If we consider that all of these events take place after the rapture then both the Jewish people and the Muslim believers will now believe in God and both will be looking for 'their' Messiah to return.

Again, if the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is prophetic of the events of the end times then the two angels (the two witnesses in the book of Revelation) will first appear with the Muslim community but then go, when invited, to be with Lot and the Jewish community. This will rouse the Muslim's into a frenzy and Lot will try to placate the crowd but with no success.

It must be remembered that Jesus Christ first went to live in Egypt but then was called out of Egypt to go to Jerusalem. But of course Jesus wound up in Nazareth. I believe that Jesus Christ going to Nazareth, instead of Jerusalem, is a biblical prophecy that the Temple in the book of Revelation will be rebuilt in Nazareth.

Consider that after the rapture both people in the Jewish community and the Muslim community will be looking for the return of their Messiah. The Dome of the Rock will never be supplanted by a Jewish temple since both faiths will eagerly be waiting for their Messiah to return for them, as would have already happened to the Christians with the rapture by Jesus Christ.

If, after the rapture, all the Muslims take over the nation of Israel, simply because America will be reduced to a feeble struggling nation, a third temple in Jerusalem will be impossible to achieve. But consider that the Muslim's (who will now be in control) will allow a temple to be built in Nazareth in order to mock the Jewish faith since Nazareth is closely connected with Jesus Christ and the Christians.

Therefore, after the rapture, the temple could not possibly be rebuilt in Jerusalem. But the temple will be rebuilt in Nazareth since the rapture will dramatically change the political landscape.

Matthew 19:29-30New International Version (NIV)

29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[a] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

Lot's wife, who turns to a pillar of salt when she looks back, represents all those who refuse to give up on the Old Testament Temple when it moves to Nazareth.

If Sodom and Gomorrah is representative of the Sunni and Shia Muslims (also Medina and Mecca ) then Lot represents the only righteous men left (those who are circumcised) and they will be forced to live in Nazareth where they will build their house, the third temple. Ultimately the Antichrist will arrive at this rebuilt temple and then stand in the holy place and commit his abomination of desolation ...... of not being circumcised! (Curiously enough Lot's two daughters, who have sex with him when he is drunk, could represent the Antichrist and the beast signifying that the Antichrist and the beast will be both woman and that they'll come from a Jewish lineage.)

If all this sounds confusing then just believe in the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ and you'll be included in the rapture, which Jesus Christ promises will happen when he returns to gather his faithful, so his believers will not experience the horrors of the Great Tribulation as depicted in the Book of Revelation!

God Bless

Aside for our differing views on the end times which I think we can put aside for the moment, if what your saying is correct, I find it hard to concieve simply because where the dome of the rock currently is, is considered the most holy place on earth. For the Jew, it is where the Temple once stood, but more so than that because it is the very place Abraham offered his only son, whom he loved. And even so, it is the very place where Adam was formed from the dust of the earth.
I don't think a Temple in any other place would ever happen.

That is interesting. Where did you find that claim?

I do disagree with that, however, I did hear a sermon once that said that when Jesus comes back, He will not go first to the Mt. of Olives, but rather to Edom, where apparently he will have a short errand to run first. Dangit, it's been so long sonce I heard that that I can't remember more of the details of it.

Many do not think that there will be a 3rd temple at all, citing that we are the temple, but I disagree with that because if we are the temple, then how could the anti-christ enter within and set himself down to proclaim himself God?

The third temple was jasonc knows the names...

Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

1) Solomon's temple
2) zerubabel's temple which was razed about 100 years befor jesus came
3) herod's temple still being worked on when jesus showed up
4) tween the second and the third listed theres the elephantine temple in Egypt, which is alluded to in Isiah 19.

What happened to Zerubbabel's temple?

There was also a Jewish temple at Leontopolis in Egypt.

rambam? interesting when we have time on the phone to discuss that. I can see the Jerusalem thing, but not the location where adam was formed even though well our flesh is a temple.
I read it somewhere from Chabad awhile back. I get daily readings
