The True Meaning Of God's Covenant
When God created his covenant with man God was preparing this world for the appearance of his son Jesus Christ. Imagine if Jesus Christ appeared in the midst of the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire worshiped multiple Gods, had a leader 'Caesar' who proclaimed himself as a God with coinage of Caesar's face as God.
God's very first commandment states that we are not to have any other Gods before God. If Jesus came to this world, into a pagan kingdom like the Roman Empire, he would have violated God's very first commandment. For Jesus Christ is God become man, and placing Jesus in the midst of such pagan worship of multiple Gods would have meant that God would have violated his own commandment by placing himself before other Gods!
God MUST place his son in a covenant land (hint: Israel – the promised land) that practiced God's Law (hint: 10 Commandments - Mosaic Law), given by God, so that when God's son Jesus Christ arrived into this world he would not be placed in front of another God (hint: Roman Law) thus eliminating the possibility of violating God's first commandment.
God's covenant establishes a rule of law, God's Law, that allowed his son Jesus Christ to appear in this world so as to not violate God's first commandment. If the Law were not God's, but man's, then Jesus Christ, who is God become man, would have been placed in front of another God upon his virgin birth. God would have violated his very own commandment!
When Jesus Christ consecrated his New Covenant at the Last Supper with his 12 disciples (hint: the 12 disciples represent the 12 tribes of Israel) Jesus was placing God's law directly into their hearts and mind (Jeremiah 31:33). God was placing his Law directly into the heart and minds of every believer of Jesus Christ to prepare them to receive the Holy Spirit.
God cannot place his Holy Spirit into a believer without first placing his law into them so that it would not violate God's first commandment. If the Holy Spirit entered a person that did not have God's law already there then the Holy Spirit would be placing God before other God's, namely man's corrupt law that serves his flesh, and this would have been liken to God violating his very own commandment.
Notice that God did not place his laws directly into man's flesh, just his heart and mind. God gave man dominion over the earth which means that since man is made from the dust of the ground God gave man dominion over himself (hint: freewill). If God placed his laws directly into man's flesh then this would have violated mankind's God given dominion over himself.
The Antichrist will place Satan's laws directly on man's flesh with 666 during the “Great Tribulation” which will give man's dominion of himself over to Satan – the result being damnation forever! Satan asked for this same dominion over man's self-determination when he tempted Jesus in the desert for the 3rd time.
It is interesting to note that the Roman occupation of the covenant land, that included God's Temple, is symbolic of our corrupt flesh and God's Holy Spirit co-existing side by side in a believer of Jesus Christ. The co-existence of the Roman Government and God's Temple during Jesus Christ's life is representative of a believer in Jesus Christ after they receive the Holy Spirit. The flesh is corrupt, and will die, but the heart and mind will be resurrected to be with God the Father, God the son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit, forever in heaven!
Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and rest assured that you'll be with God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit in heaven forever. In heaven you'll be given a new body and a new name so that you'll never violate the first commandment of being your own God before God himself.
God Bless

As further proof to Jesus Christ being God is when Jesus Christ was born in a manger. Jesus appeared in this world as God become man and nowhere is there any sign of any other God placed before Jesus as he was born in a lowly manger. If Jesus had been born to wealthy parents in a wealthy home then the First commandment would have been instantly broken as the parents would have placed their Gods of wealth and privilege before the Christ child who was God become man.
Another example of Jesus being God is when Jesus Christ was baptized. John the Baptist lived a meager and austere existence just so he would not violate the First Commandment when Jesus appeared before him for baptism. John the Baptist was ready when Jesus Christ came for his baptism as John did not have any of his own 'Gods of wealth' that could violate the First Commandment of placing another God before Jesus Christ – who is God become man. Subsequently right after Jesus Christ's baptism the sky opened up and another God of the Godhead – The Holy Spirit – in the form of a dove descended upon Jesus. Then a voice came from the clouds as God the Father spoke of being well pleased with his Son Jesus Christ. Here you have the entire Godhead, Father - Son - Holy Spirit - all appearing at the same time, and John the Baptist was ready for he had no earthly wealth to violate the First Commandment of placing any other Gods before God! The First Commandment was never violated at Jesus Christ's birth or his baptism!
Still another point worth mentioning is that when the Roman Empire occupied the land of Israel it was as if the Jewish Temple leaders placed another God before God for Caesar proclaimed himself as God. The land of Israel had broken the very First Commandment when it allowed the Roman Empire to co-exist with the Temple of God where God's spirit dwelled! (hint: today it is Islam merging with other Christian nations!) Equally troublesome is that the Roman coinage used the face of Caesar who proclaimed himself as God so even the Roman money was another God placed before the God of Israel which violated the First Commandment! Is it any wonder why Jesus Christ tossed all of the money merchants out of the Temple! They were placing another God before God as they had turned their money (hint: either Roman or Temple coinage) into their God which violated God's very first commandment!
Amen
