I don't believe in Santa Claus, but I'm not going to sue somebody for singing a Ho-Ho-Ho song in December.

I don't agree with Darwin, but I didn't go out and hire a lawyer when my high school teacher taught his theory of evolution.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what's the big deal? It's not like somebody is up there reading the entire book of Acts. They're just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game. "But it's a Christian prayer," some will argue. Yes, and this is the United States of America, a country founded on Christian principles. And we are in the Bible Belt. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect-somebody chanting Hare Krishna?

If I went to a football game in Jerusalem, I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.

If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad, I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.

If I went to a Ping-Pong match in China, I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.

And I wouldn't be offended. It wouldn't bother me one bit. When in Rome...

"But what about the atheists?" is another argument. What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We're not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that's asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer. Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don't think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world's foundations.

Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us just to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying. God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well..........just sue me..

The silent majority has been silent too long.. it's time we let that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard, that the vast majority don't care what they want.. it is time the majority rules!

It's time we tell them, you don't have to pray.. you don't have to say the pledge of allegiance, you don't have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right.. but by golly you are no longer going to take our rights away .. we are fighting back.. and we WILL WIN! After all the God you have the right to denounce is on our side!

God bless us one and all, especially those who denounce Him...

God bless America, despite all her faults.. still the greatest nation of all.....

God bless our service men who are fighting to protect our right to pray and worship God...

May 2003 and 2004 be the years the silent majority is heard and we put God back as the foundation of our families and institutions.

Keep looking up...... In God WE Trust

If you agree with this, please pass it on. If not, delete it!!

WE DO HAVE TERRORISTS IN THIS COUNTRY and THEY WORK FOR THE aclu!

This was posted a year ago, yet the silent majority hasn't been heard as louds as Samuel Thompson had hoped for. The 2004 election had hte biggest turn otu of chirstian in history...why? B/c christian wanted to be heard and we still do. but it take one person to start that fire. Are you willing to be that spark? are you willing to stand up and be put down over and over again to be heard? are you willling to fight fo eht battle of God and save the world?

We are not the problem...the Anti-Christ people are the ones who are trying to deny the Christians thier rights.. it is time we fought back. Know what your rights are.

"Christians are allowed to preach the gospel in public places and to hand out tracts and pamphlets. The authorities may not prohibit one from doing so as long as one is not soliciting. Christians can also use public property for religious meetings. The Lamb’s Chapel case upheld this, for “In a unanimous decision, the court held that religious organizations confronting contemporary issues from a religious perspective cannot be excluded from access to government property available to other groups. No longer can Christians be treated as second-class citizens†. People are also allowed to picket and demonstrate as long as it is on public property, not private property. Christians also have the right to eradicate pornography from their community.

The government does not require religion to be kept out of schools. The idea of “separation of church and state†is not and never has been in the constitution. Students at public schools are allowed to create Bible clubs if there are other non-curriculum-related clubs. A religious club is to be given privileges equal to all other clubs. Students may wear Christian t-shirts and are also allowed to share their faith on campus as well as pray together. It is also constitutional for public schools to observe holidays such as Christmas; after all, Congress does. The Bible may even be taught at school as long as it is presented in a neutral and relevant manner. At graduation, there may be student-led prayer, and a student may also give a religious speech.

If a person has been discriminated against, he or she will be protected under law as long as he or she is able to meet three factors determined by the government, which are as follows: “In order to be protected by Title VII, an employee must show that: (1) He holds a sincere religious belief that conflicts with an employment requirement; (2) He has informed the employer about the conflict; and (3) He was discharged, disciplined, or subjected to discriminatory treatment for failing to comply with the conflicting employment requirement†(79). Employees are allowed to keep a Bible and religious materials at their desk. They may also share their beliefs with co-workers. The only time that the employee may be restricted is when the employer faces undue hardship because of the worker’s free speech.

You can change things without having to go through the judicial system. One way would be to rally public attention to the current problem. This way those who vote on the issues have to listen and are held responsible for how they vote. Another approach would be to attend committee and school board meetings, listen to what they have to say, and voice your opinion.

Because I am a Christian, I need to know how to protect my First Amendment rights of free speech. The world hates the fact that I am a Christian. Christianity is the truth, and, therefore, I must know how to protect my fundamental rights. I deserve to be treated equally as everyone else. Every religion in this country is to be treated equally without showing favoritism or hostility to any".

Most of the info above is from this book:

The Christian, the Court and the Constitution: Your Rights as a Christian Citizen
By Jay Alan Sekulaw

It's a great book. All Chrisitians need to read it.

How many times must I ask, what rights are you being denied?

I have no problem with that.

Christians also have the right to eradicate pornography from their community.

No, you have the right to eradicate it from your house. You have no right to come into my house and take my nudy mags.

The government does not require religion to be kept out of schools.

No, but the Constitution does require that the government not endorse any one paticular religion over another.

The idea of “separation of church and state†is not and never has been in the constitution.

The words, no, but the sentiment is there. Jefferson, a major author of the Constitution, is the one who referred to the First Admendement as creating a wall between church and state. I would think an author would know more about the meaning of his book than anyone else.

Well that's nice, Still waiting to hear what rights you're being denied.
