Everything comes to us in seed form. It's what kind of environment the seed finds that determines if it will grow and flourish or not. This is true of both the seed of the kingdom of God and the seed of the kingdom of darkness.
The seeds of the kingdom of the devil grow more readily and naturally in the soil of men's hearts of this world that is already suited for that growth. The seeds of the kingdom are received by and grow more readily in the ground of men's hearts that God, in his grace, prepares for them to grow in.
Hebrews 6:7-8
7For land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is tended receives the blessing of God. 8But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless, and its curse is imminent. In the end it will be burned.
