Strengthening families through biblical principles.
Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Whatever you say Valentino.Stop flirting, you're mine.
Thanks Kiwidan.I never meant it in a nasty way but the reality is people go on first impressions when starting a relationship.
In serious relationships and marriage both should know everything but sadely I have seen broken relationships where they have gone bust and lost everything because one partner never really knew there true financial position. Its very common.
a lot depends on local attitudes. People talk to each other and compare notes. I'm told by the young adult crowd around where I live that it's normal for one of the first questions any woman who is at all desirable and isn't desperate will ask a guy when she first meets him is how much money he has in the bank! If he avoids the question or his answer doesn't satisfy her, she just moves on. Guys have told me it's so bad that your choices are either to give in to this shallowness (usually by making up some high dollar figure if you aren't actually rich) or just remain alone. I choose alone.Wow.
He talks.
This is also for Jethro Bodine
So what your saying is that only rich or powerful men can get a girl.
That type of girl should be avoided.
If men would avoid that type of girl,
Maybe girls wouldn't be this way.
It's a circle, you know.
In fact, you SHOULDN'T want a girl that wants your money or your
power or status. It never ends up well. Love is the only glue that makes the stamp
stick to the envelope.
Women wanting to feel secure means a lot more than bringing home the plenty.
It's complicated, why am I here anyway?
Bye.
I like you Obadiah.a lot depends on local attitudes. People talk to each other and compare notes. Reba,Some of you guys should just have picked better women..
Wondering, I need you.Reba,
They're saying there aren't any around.
This is a general attitude among men today.
So there must be some truth to it.
I mean, I KNOW there is. It's all very sad.
No more trust and depending on each other.
No more roles. How could there not be roles?
How to determine who does what?
A girl, about 32 years old and single, was telling me that
she changes the tire to a car even if there's a guy with her.
I was horrified. I asked her why? She said because she knows how and doesn't
want to need him. Need him. Like this is a bad thing. Seems we can't "need." It'a no-no.
Needing is part of loving. It'a a good thing. We've made everything into bad.
This is getting too serious!
Wondering
What? I just gave a whole lesson and you ask me if I like a CAR???Okay wondering, do you like Maserati's?
But it must be a very expensive car. (LOL)Okay wondering, do you like Maserati's?
I agree. But someone else will have to ask them those questions. I've lost all incentive to even try around here. Nowhere else that I have been have I ever seen it so bad!I like you Obadiah.
You're my kind of guy.
If all guys did what you do, the women would be forced not to ask such dumb questions.
You know, just to be serious for a moment - just for a moment - women are supposed to be the standard of morals in a society. This has disappeared for various reasons which I'm sure we all know. The result is what we're speaking of here. Everyone is self-centered and does not think more of the other person - which is what makes a good relationship.
You know I hate to say this. But I'd love to try this. The next time a woman asks you how much you earn, ask HER if she could cook, clean, sew, raise children, care for a home, handle the finances, and know how to keep you happy - generally speaking of course.
It would bring everything back down to earth.
See. Things WERE better in the ole' days!

That's all part of the "women's liberation movement" of the 70's.Reba,

Don't I know it.That's all part of the "women's liberation movement" of the 70's.
I'm in the Pacific Northwest, Northwest corner of Washington State. The local "big city" is Bellingham. (Although it's not all that big. They get almost as many people to a big party in the desert of Nevada every year at the end of August!)Where are you?
(Maybe it could help those guys reading along to keep away!!)

Some aspects of it were good things. But like so many things us humans do, they took it way to far to the extreme and ruined it.Don't I know it.
I have stories -
I'm surprised. I thought you were going to say the Norhteast- where I'm from.I'm in the Pacific Northwest, Northwest corner of Washington State. The local "big city" is Bellingham.
