Although my faith is a lot more important to me than money among other things like friendship, family, and love,.. has anybody ever played those scratching games to win prizes? Because I just seriously won twenty-five thousand dollars and I really want to know whether or not it's a scam.

I know!! Like I said, I love Jesus more than anything but twenty-five thousand smackers!! :wootBy the way, did you ever get the PM that I sent you yesterday?
Yeah I got it, but been kinda busy.
Let's pretend for a moment you won. What would you buy for your mom?

A trip to Disneyworld? Lol! Nah, I don't think that it would be enough money since that's a pretty expensive vacation anymore. I don't really know to tell you the truth, got any ideas?

If it came in the mail or a flier left at or on the door there is, likely, a 100% chance it is a scam. If you bought a ticket turn it in at the local state facility for that purpose and take your 25k and go home.

I have never bought a ticket, so I will never win but o the other I have not waisted a dime on the tickets.

Yeah, it came in the mail. That's why I wasn't sure whether or not it was a scam.

I'm afraid Bill is right. If it came in the mail, vs. your purchasing it at a store, it's a marketing come-on at best, a scam at worst.

It probably contains some clever and misleading verbiage. For example, it will say in big block letters, "YOU HAVE WON $25,000!!!". But in small type just above it, it will say something like, "Your name has been pre-selected in the same group that will hear the words...".

Actually the idea was to scratch off a winning symbol and if it matched the one underneath the pull tab you would win what was underneath it and I just happened to match the grand prize one.

Yeah, maybe you could get her some nice flowers, maybe a professional picture of the two of you with a nice frame. I'll bet a day at the spa would be relaxing, and dinner at her favorite restaurant would be a nice evening for the both of you. :)

Then they want you to make some purchase or it is some crook that is running an os scam where you send them some amount that relative to te 25K is small for processing the check for your prize. Any lottery that you cannot walk into a building and pick up a check or arrange for it to be transfered to your bank is a scam to rip you off.

Sounds like an enticement to get you to either go to a location and "pick up" your winnings, or send something in. Either way, it is a complete waste of time. It sounds very similar to ads I have gotten from car dealerships with fake keys attached saying I should come down because I could have won a car, or some other prize.
