Watchful Sobriety

1 Peter 5:6-11

Humble yourself under His hand,

At the right time God exalts you;

Be sober- minded where you stand,

Thinking of God what you pursue.



Cast your anxieties on Him,

Because He truly cares for you;

Let Him bless with spiritual vim,

For excelling in all you do.



Be mindful to be vigilant,

The devil prowls like a lion;

His roaring is very violent,

Seeking access into Zion.



He seeks for one to devour,

Firm your faith as you resist;

Unknown the day or the hour,

Causing suffering that exists.



For the God of grace who has called,

To eternal glory through Christ;

Restoring you where you are flawed,

Temptations no longer enticed.



He confirms and establish you,

To His glory and dominion;

Forever to ever construe,

Within His holy communion.

Trust in God Alone

My Soul Waits for God Alone

Psalm 62:5-8

For God alone, O my soul,

Waits in silence for my hope;

Expectation to console,

The adversities I cope.



He’s my rock and salvation,

My fortress not be shaken;

For as a firm foundation,

I will not be forsaken.



My Savior, a mighty rock,

My glory and my resort;

For God alone I will talk,

In prayer to whom I report.



I trust in Him at all times,

While I pour out my heart;

He forgave me of my crimes,

Through confession I impart.
