So I was reading a bit of the book of John and I'm just a bit confused why Jesus talks about how nobody can come to the Father unless He allows them to in the first place. So what exactly does that mean?

To me Sister HeIsRisen2018, God’s word goes forth as a testimony to all men. Are all men drawn to Jesus as the result of it? No, if they were drawn they would have believed.Nobody can come to the Father unless He allows them to in the first place. So what exactly does that mean?
Hi HR, you have misunderstood the Scripture (John 6:43-45), It says: "no one can come to me (Christ) unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day." The example of this is in Luke 24:13-32. Read it prayerfully and tell me how you think this answers your question. If you do not see it, say so, and I will tell you what the Lord revealed to me.So I was reading a bit of the book of John and I'm just a bit confused why Jesus talks about how nobody can come to the Father unless He allows them to in the first place. I like the following version of that scripture better.
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Hi HR, On the road to Emmaus, Luke chapter 24 some of Christ's disciples were walking on the road to Emmaus. It was after Christ's crucifixion and resurrection and together they were discussing the events. (Luke 24:13-14). And while they were talking, The risen Christ appears near to them Luke 24:15 But The Scripture says that their eyes were kept from recognizing Him. Luke 24:16. (The Father did this) And as they walk along, Christ asked them what they were discussing Luke 24:17 and then Peter tells him of the events and said they thought Jesus was the savior of Israel Luke 24:18-24. Then Jesus tells them that they are slow to believe and Starting with the word of God of the book of Moses and through OT and the prophets and Psalms, He explains to them about how the Christ should have suffered Luke 24:25-27. As they reach their dwelling, notice what Christ does, He ACTS as if thou He would go on by Himself Luke 24:28........But look what the disciples do, "they constrain Him", "saying, Abide with us Luke 24:29. Christ acted as if He would go on without them, for He wanted them to do something, Just as we hear the word of God, the Father wants us to react to...the Father is drawing through His word, but we have to react to it. So they invite Him in, Just as those of us do when we are drawn by the word of God, we invite Christ into our heart. And as they sat and began to break bread, Christ blesses it Luke 24:30. Look what happened, They invited Christ in and their eyes were opened, just as we accept Christ, so are our eyes opened Luke 24:31-32. (The Father did this)No, I'm sorry. I read it and I still don't understand it.
the mind is a huge battle ground we have so many old ways stored in it.. plus the devil likes to whisper in our ear . if the devil can get us to doubt .then he can twist things around remember what he said to eve after she told him what God had told them they could and could not do..he said DID God say from there he twisted God words and deceived eve and AdamYes thank you! That makes a lot more sense to me. The only thing I don't get is if we truly feel that we accept Christ in our hearts, then why does our mind sometimes deceive us with doubt?
what does the scriptures say ? scriptures to assurance of salvation https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Bible-Verses-About-Assurance-Of-Salvation/Then how does one know if they are truly saved or not if the mind doubts?

we been over this many times read the word of God study the word of God you need to talk with your pastor he should be able to show you in the Bible .if he can,t you need another church..Well,.. let's put it this way. I believe very strongly that God loves me and that Jesus died for me, but sometimes I have unorthodox beliefs and different interpretations of it. However, since this is the Bible Study Forum, I'm not going to go into that right here.
for the last time if you been truly saved stop doubting accept it by faith..That's exactly why I doubt my salvation because I seem to doubt an awful lot although I really want to be saved.
