I met Jerry Garcia at LAX one time many years ago. I came up and sat right next to him in the waiting area and didn't realize who he was. He struck up a conversation with me and told me. Seemed like a real nice guy.

For a short period I attended a church where John Brockington is a member. He was a running back for the Packers back in the 70's. Thankfully, I was not flustered or tongue tied when I met him.

I once was given a check for approval with the name "Jim Zorn" (Seahawks Football fame) on it. When I went over sure enough, it was him. I should have asked him to sign another check for my signature collection, right?

I wish I would have made a copy of it before we deposited. That would be pretty cool. I do have signatures of the whole cast of characters found at Disneyland Park including Mickey, Minnie, the Mad Hatter and Snow White and Goofy too... They're famous.

During lunch when I lived (I was 20 something) in Glendale CA we used to go to The Comedy Store and watch improv -- they had free popcorn and buffalo wings so it was cheap eating. There was a troupe of comedians known as the Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time-Players who would perform there before their Saturday Night Live fame.

I was with my sister and brother-in-law at an aspiring playwright's house when Lauren Tewes came over to announce she had just got the part for a new television series: The Love Boat. Hmmm... there's probably more.

I once worked as a Blackjack dealer and took an undisclosed amount of money from Cal Ripkin Jr. I had no idea who he was at the time and when he asked if I wanted his autograph, I just laughed.

I also took 20 bucks from Bob Lurtsema. (Benchwarmer Bob)

At Winter Jam, my Jam Nation pass granted me early access and a Q&A session with some of the artists. I couldn't think of any questions, though, so I just watched everyone else with JamNation passes ask questions. xD
Among the artists at the Q&A session were LaCrae, Plumb, and one of the guys from Everfound.

Oh, and I got the autograph of the Thousand Foot Crutch and Newsong band members after the show.

Winter Jam tries to represent all the major genres, I think. So they usually have one hard rock band. This year it was TFK. They also try to represent rap and hiphop, and other types of rock (which make up most of the bands).
