What happened to the forums Feb 20 to March 12 ??

What happened? Haked? Glitched? Overload? Someone making an error in code? Server fried? Dollars dried? What?

The site was down for everyone and displayed a simple error message. I want to know details, the cute seal meme isn't exactly comprehensive.

And why did it take so long to get the site back up?

It’s complicated…
At the end of the day, it is what it is. Please be thankful we didn’t loose more, or all of it.

Measures are being put in place to mitigate this type of incident in the future.

A few years ago there was a Christian community that was unable to receive new member applications.

The application would be completed but it never actually reached the sites Administrators. Instead the new applicant would get a message after they hit the button to apply that said they were banned for SPAM.

Then new applicants would get SPAM emails at the email they applied with.

The site closed not long after.
