when ya find out how old you are...

Been painting taking a week to do what should have done in 2 days including the waiting between coats.
We are bless to have tall beautiful pine trees of different verities in our yard.. The pine beetles are also blessed to chew on our trees.. so this old women is out back the faller is up taking of the top of a 85 foot tree...
Old people do not belong being part of the rope team... for the few who may not understand .. ropes are use to help force the tree to fall the way you want it to.. the idea is to let go of the rope when it goes cause you are not stronger then a 20 + foot hunk of tree.. old people forget things like letting go of the rope in time... i got a good yank into another tree rope burns on the 4 fingers of my left hand.... a baseball sized scrape and bruise on the left shin.. a broken right big toe..... left are in scratched up

nothing hurts like my ego.. :cries

good thing ' Pam" was busy videoing the fall and not me... that tape would have been good for a lot of laughs.. I know it will hurt worser tomorrow.. :missyou
 
Sorry to learn of the rope burns, the scrapes & bruises....and the broken toe.

So sorry you were injured. Prayers for a quick healing. I would imagine today you are hurting in places you weren't noticing when it first happened.
Why do we forget things such as leather gloves? Sometimes I think I am getting more stupid as I get older!! I'm really dreading Lexy moving away, I feel like a quarter of my brain will be leaving with her, she has a habit of keeping me out of trouble.
 
Sounds like someone forgot to yell "TIMBER". Yep, us older ones are not as invincible as we use to be :cries.
