Who Justifieth the Ungodly

Justification from sin is prior to Faith in Christ !

Justification from sin is prior to Faith in Christ , for the Justified; simply because the laying of their sins upon Christ was prior to their believing in Him, and the Laying of their sins upon Christ did Justify them from their sins, since when they were laid on Him, they could not be also laid upon them, and their sins condemned Him and not them. Those Christ died for, their sins and the punishment they accrued for them, have been legally taken away, even before any work of Grace begins in them by the Spirit of God !14

Being Justified by His Blood apart from our Faith !

Rom 5:9

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Being Justified by His Blood apart from our Faith ! Now false religion denies and discards this sacred truth, that initially and to begin with, that Justification before God, freedom from all condemnation and death due to sin, is solely by the Blood of Christ alone, and that is the testimony of the text Rom 5:9, and that its true even in light of Rom 5:1, for Justification by the Blood of Christ/and or the Obedience of Christ, which lead to His Death Phil 2:8;Rom 5:19, tis antecedent to ones God given Faith, in fact, its the very thing that is revealed to Faith, that one, prior to believing, had been Justified by the Blood of Christ before Gods Law and Justice.

A particular OT scripture is enlightening here which reads Ex 12:13

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

God passing over in Judgement and destruction is due to Him seeing the Blood of the slain lambs, not because of anything else, the word passover is the heb word pacach and means:

halt , spring over ,A primitive root; to hop, i.e. (figuratively) skip over (or spare);

Remember when God said to Abraham this Gen 18:24,26

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

The Idea is God will not destroy but spare from destruction, and this God would not do to them He sees the Blood of the Lamb in behalf of them ! Thats what Rom 5:9 claims Justified by Blood of the Lamb, saved from wrath and or destruction !

See also Joel 2:17;Jonah 4:11; Mal 3:17

17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Take that statement and remember what God said of Israel right before the Exodus Ex 4:23

23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

If God has seen that Christ, His Lamb of God has shed His Blood for you, then He passes over you in Judgment and condemnation and destruction and wrath, we can never be of those who Paul writes of here 2 Thess 1:9

Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

And that is not because He sees our Faith, but solely because He sees the Blood of the Lamb ! Ex 12:13

13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. 14

Him that Justifieth the Ungodly !

Rom 4:5

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. This means God is Justifying them while they are being Ungodly, not when they are believing, but while Ungodly !

Now who are these Ungodly God is Justifying ? Why its those that Christ has died for Rom 5:6

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

The Ungodly Christ died for, and His dying for them is how God Justifieth them ! The word ungodly is the greek word asebēs and means:

I.destitute of reverential awe towards God, condemning God, impious

irreverent, i.e. (by extension) impious or wicked:—ungodly (man).

This is their practical state when God is Justifying them by Christ dying for them.

Notice the words Christ died in Rom 5:Vs 6b

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

The fact alone that Christ died Justified them, Rom 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Also notice that after dying, He is risen again, which rising again was because of our Justification Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences[died], and was raised again for[because of] our justification.

So His resurrection is evidence that those He died for are Justified while they are Ungodly, simply because He died for them ! 14

Justified while enemies by the Blood of Christ alone !

Rom 5:9-10

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Listen, being Justified by His Blood in Vs 9 is the very exact thing as being reconciled to God by His Death, its no difference except the verbiage . Now it should be observed to the credit of Christ's Death alone, that the reconciliation to God occurred as the believers were still in a unconverted state and enemies Rom 5:10, so likewise the Justification before God in Vs 9 did as well, it occurred while in a unconverted state and while enemies. This emphasis is made by Paul to show what special a blessing it is for Christ to die for us, it makes us righteous [Vs 9] and it restores us into the favor of God [being exempt from any of Gods Wrath as it is on others] and again, the only ground this blessing is pertinent to us is the Death/Blood of Christ and His Faith/Faithfulness !

Ones own Faith plays no part in this matter because the fact of Justification before God and Reconciliation to God occurred while they being enemies ! Rom 5:9-10 ! 14

Just, and the Justifier of him which believeth in Jesus !

Rom 3:26

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Now what is Paul Preaching here ? Is he teaching that one must believe on Jesus Christ as a condition in order for God to Justify them ? God forbid, for that is Justification by the work of man, believing is an act of man ! Man is not and cannot be Just before God by any act of his, but Justification before God is always conditioned upon the act or actions of Jesus Christ !

Now Christ's action can be described as His Obedience Rom 5:19, or His Faithfulness to God Heb 2:17;3:2, and its this that God Justifies a person or persons.

In the original the words "which believeth in Jesus " are in the genitive case, which means Jesus Faith is being spoken of, and a better translation would read, He is Just and Justifying he which has the Faith of Jesus .

In other words, God s Just in Justifying those who have Christ Suretyship Faithfulness charged to them !

Here are some translations that capture the genitive :

in the forbearance of God, for the showing forth of His righteousness in the present time, for Him to be just, and justifying the one of the faith of Jesus. berean literal bible

He wanted to demonstrate at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies anyone who has the faithfulness of Jesus. International Standard Version

This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus' faithfulness. NET Bible

manifesting in this time his righteousness that he only be the just one and the justifier of him that is of the faith of Jesus. Jubilee Bible 2000

Through the forbearance of God, for the shewing of his justice in this time; that he himself may be just, and the justifier of him, who is of the faith of Jesus Christ. Douay-Rheims Bible

for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness in the present time, so that he should be just, and justify him that is of [the] faith of Jesus.
Darby Bible Translation

See all whom Christ represented as Surety partake of His Surety Headship Faithfulness, just like all whom Adam represented took part in his surety headship unfaithfulness !

And since Christ by His Suretyship Faithfulness both obeyed Gods Law perfectly for His People He represented, as well as suffered their wages of death for their unfaithfulness, that cleared them of all guilt and declared them Righteous before God !

If God justifieth the Ungodly ?

If God justifieth the Ungodly the ungodly as it states in Rom 4:5

5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Then His Justifying of them is prior to that ungodly one believes, for if not, then if believing is the condition of ones Justification before God, then it only stands to reason that believing is before ones Justification, in which case that one was a believer before Justified, and not ungodly, for never in scripture is a believer recognized as ungodly, but Rom 4:5 teaches that God Justifieth one while being ungodly, and therefore before ones Faith or Believing !

This is the same as they being reconciled to God while being enemies or ungodly Rom 5:10, so it can be also stated, that believeth on Him that reconciled the Ungodly, but how ? Not by their faith, for they are ungodly enemies, but by the death of His Son ! 14

Justification and Remission of sins are the same thing !

Rom 3:24

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Now its plain here that Paul contributes Justification freely by Gods Grace, through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus, which is through His Blood according to Eph 1:7

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Now the Redemption which is through His Blood provides the forgiveness of their sins, according to the riches of Gods Grace, whereas in Rom 3:24 instead of saying forgiveness of sins, Paul says " being Justified"

This forgiveness of sins comes before Faith, in fact, we must receive a Knowledge of it, which means the fact of it is a reality with God, before one receives the Knowledge of it Lk 1:77

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

This also tells us that remission of sins equals Salvation and Justification, in other words by receiving a Knowledge of our remission of sins, we are receiving a knowledge of our Salvation and or Justification !15

Justification by God is manifested by the Resurrection of Christ !

Faith in and of itself, even Spirit given Faith Gal 5:22 does not Justify one before God, simply because the Resurrection of Christ from the dead is a God given testimony/declaration that God has Justified all for whom Offences He Christ was delivered for, Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for[because of] our offences, and was raised again for[because of] our justification.

who was betrayed and crucified because of our sins, and was raised [from the dead] because of our justification [our acquittal—absolving us of all sin before God].AMP

Justification and Acquittal are the same, and the word Acquittal means:

the discharge or settlement of a debt, obligation, etc. This is also Forgiveness of sins, the word forgiveness for instance in Eph 1:7

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Its the word aphesis and means:

a sending away, a letting go, a release, pardon, complete forgiveness.

áphesis (from 863 /aphíēmi, "send away, forgive" ) – properly, "something sent away"; i.e. remission ("forgiveness"), releasing someone from obligation or debt

And this forgiveness, Acquittal, Justification of them through Christ is declared by God Himself by raising Christ from the dead !

Justification by God is manifested by the Resurrection of Christ 2

Now that God has declared them Justified and forgiven and Acquitted before Him by Christ's [Their Covenant Surety Head] Resurrection from the dead, Its once again to be declared as a Spiritual Testimony to their souls, this is by God given Faith through the New Birth, which Faith is the substance of[Spiritual] things hoped for and the evidence of [Spiritual] things not seen Heb 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The Justified and Acquitted ones BY nature cannot see or perceive their Justification, so Paul writes 1 Cor 2:7-12

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 15

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit:
for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the[Spiritual] things that are freely given to us of God.

The deep things of God Vs 10 means things Spiritual related to Divine Things and Justification hidden in God Himself, not knowable by man !

Justification by God is manifested by the Resurrection of Christ 3

1 Cor 2:7

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

This Wisdom of God in a Mystery the Apostles Preach is nothing less than the Gospel of Christ, and its hidden wisdom , permanently so for them that are lost 2 Cor 4:3

We know that the Wisdom of God here in 1 Cor 2:7 is the Gospel of Christ, because he had just written this 1 Cor 1:24

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Also the Gospel is the Mystery of Christ Eph 6:19

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Col 4:3

3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

So now understand, when we read in 1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

This is speaking the Wisdom of God in a Mystery, and hidden to them that are lost, and the things that Christ accomplished by His death must be revealed to us by His Spirit 1 Cor 2:10

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

And Faith is a fruit of the same Spirit Gal 5:22, and through the Spiritual fruit of Faith from the Spirit, God gives one testimony of their Justification by the Blood of Christ, yet the Justification preceded the Faith, for the Resurrection declared that to be so Rom 4:25 ! 15

What is True Justification by Faith ?

Now it has been established by me in my previous posts and threads, that Justification before God is prior to ones believing, in fact prior to their natural existence as sinners, but scripture also makes it clear that the Justified ones [before God] shall Live by Faith, Rom 1:17

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

As it is written looks back to the OT scriptures, the Prophets Hab 2:4

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

And Living by Faith begins, when God through the Preaching of the Gospel, and the persuasive Power of the Holy Spirit, affirms in the Justified ones soul, that they are Just/Justified and forgiven of all their sins, like here in Acts 13:38

38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

In other words, by this Preaching directly to them specifically, their Justification/ Forgiveness through Christ is positively being declared to them, being made known to them by Preaching and the Holy Ghost with Power, remember Paul wrote to the Thessalonians this 1 Thess 1:5

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

The Gospel came to them with powerful persuasiveness ! That word assurance, the greek word plērophoria means:

I.full assurance, most certain confidence, also it means:

C.to fill one with any thought, conviction, or inclination

i.to make one certain, to persuade, convince one

ii.to be persuaded, persuaded, fully convinced or assured

Translated also Lk 1:1

Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

Their forgiveness Preached unto them Acts 13:38 means their Justification from all sin is announced to them, convincing, persuading them of the same, that's the Spirits Work upon the Justified, He convinces them of their discharge from the penalty of their sins and the condemnation sin brings because of the violated, transgressed law ! 15

What is True Justification by Faith ? 2

God is now by the foolishness of Preaching is making it known to them, that is making known to them of their discharge, acquittal from all sin, and being declared Just or righteous, and this is how they come to now know it and receive it by Faith, because the Preaching of the Gospel to them [the justified] is the Power of God unto Salvation, meaning that it results in their Salvation as to their Conversion/deliverance from Unbelief to belief of the Truth 2 Thess 2:13-14

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Note: The Salvation here is the Belief of the Truth opposed to believing that which is a lie or not true !

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So God uses the Spiritual Gift of Faith, a Fruit of His Spirit in them Gal 5:22, as an Instrument to declare to them their remission of sins/ or Justification, and hence thats why we have scriptures like Rom 5:1

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By Faith there comes to the Justified one a Peace in now knowing experimentally that we have Peace with God Judicially through Jesus Christ !

Same with Rom 3:22,26

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

When we are Justified by Faith, it means that it has been given to be Justified within ourselves [with the knowledge of it] that we may find Peace through believing Rom 15:13

13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

This is an excellent harmony with Rom 5:1, its Peace, Comfort, Joy which Faith gives through the Knowledge of the Truth unto our consciousness, awareness, fulfilling also Lk 1:77

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

That results in Justification by Faith, to receive by God giving them a Knowledge of their Salvation in the remission of their sins !

That word knowledge means :

I. Knowledge signifies in general intelligence, understanding,

gnṓsis (a feminine noun derived from 1097 /ginṓskō, "experientially know") – functional ("working") knowledge gleaned from first-hand (personal) experience, connecting theory to application; "application-knowledge," gained in (by) a direct relationship.15

Justifying the Ungodly and how !

That God Justifying the Ungodly is an accomplishment of Christ's death, its seen in Paul's Rom 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Now notice as highlighted Vs 33b " It is God that Justifieth" and heres how highlighted in Vs 34b "It is Christ that died", and 34c goes on to say" yea rather, that is risen again"

After dying and Justifying, His being risen validates they are Justified as pointed out in Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for[because of] our offences, and was raised again for[because of] our justification

In other words, if being delivered for our offences did not satisfy completely Gods Law and Justice for our sins, did not fully wipe our record clean before Him, then Christ would not have risen from the dead, since Justice would not have been completely satisfied !

Justice was fully satisfied because He died, and the Resurrection proved it !

Now to say one must become a believer or exercise faith in Christ, in order to be made Just/Righteous before God, after Christ has died for them, and rose again from the dead as a testimony to His Justifying death before Gods law and Justice, its to tell a lie, such a lie is against the very testimony of Christ's Resurrection, its against the merits of Christ's blood, that the blood is not the sole reason why God Justifieth the Ungodly, which is contempt for the Blood of Christ ! It tends to elevate the merit of what the sinner does to be justified before God, rather than what the death of Christ did to cause us to be Justified before God !

How to deny Justification by Grace !

There's Two scriptures, the Word of God, that clearly state that Justification is by the Grace of God Rom 3:24

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Titus 3:7

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Now a way that evil men deny this Spiritual Blessing in Christ Jesus is by stating or even inferring that one for whom Christ died, is not Justified before God and by God [for it is God that Justifieth Rom 8:33] before they become believers, for if we in any degree believe that or lend support to that, we deny Justification by Grace, and at the same time lend support to Justification by works ! 15

Christ dying for us is Justification by His Blood !

Rom 5:8-9-10

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Being Now Justified by His Blood is the outcome of Gods action of commendeth His Love toward us, and Christ died for us, all the while we were sinners, unconverted, enemies, as stated in Vs 10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Folks Reconciled to God while enemies is the same as Justified by God while ungodly enemies , based upon the death or blood of Christ ! 15

Understanding Justification by Faith !

Rom 5:1-2

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

There is a True sense in which the Believer for whom Christ died is Justified by Faith, its just not as the false teachers would tell us, that one becomes Justified before God when they believe ! Thats a Lie ! However the believer receives Justification into their conscience, which is not Justification itself, but it is the Knowledge of it, its being given a Spiritual , experiential knowledge of Salvation in the Remission of sins, whats taught here in Lk 1:77

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Thats Justification by Faith or by Knowledge ! Its how Faith purifies the heart and or conscience Acts 15:9

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

This is Gods doing, for man cannot purify his own heart, lest he be like these Prov 20:9

Who can say, I have made my heart clean or pure, I am pure from my sin?

The hebrew word for clean here zakah means:

I.to be clean, be pure, be clear

A.(Qal)

i.to be clean, be pure

ii.to be clear, be justified

B.(Piel)

i.to make clean, make pure, keep clean, keep pure

So when God purifies our hearts/consciences by Faith, that gives us Justification by Faith, knowledge ! 15

Justified by His Blood !

All for whom Christ died, whom He shed His Blood for the Many, even the Blood of the Covenant/Testament Matt 26:28

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. The word remission also means forgiveness, the forgiveness of sins , which is also Justification. The word forgiveness is the greek word aphesis and means:

I.release from bondage or imprisonment

II. Forgiveness or pardon, of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty

Those He shed His blood for have been released once and for all from the penalty of sin, so much so, its as if they never committed any one sin ! Thats Justification from sin in the eyes of God, based solely on the Blood of Christ shed, which alone satisfied His Law and Justice and Righteousness !

The word Justification, one of its meanings is:

I.the act of God declaring men free from guilt and acceptable to him, which again has to do with forgiveness of sins !

Now forgiveness is also related to redemption, redemption through His Blood Eph 1:7

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

This word redemption, the greek word apolytrōsis means:

I.a releasing effected by payment of ransom

A.redemption, deliverance

B.liberation procured by the payment of a ransom

everywhere in the N. T. metaphorically, viz. deliverance effected through the death of Christ from the retributive wrath of a holy God and the merited penalty of sin:

Which redemption is stated to have Justified those Christ died for Rom 3:24

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

In principle Rom 3:24 and Eph 1:7 and Matt 26:28 are all teaching the same thing, Justification, Forgiveness, Redemption by the Blood of Christ, and not by faith in the blood of Christ, but solely by and through the blood of Christ Rom 5:9, which to deny is simply unbelief and pride ! 15

Justification of Life !

Rom 5:18

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Jesus once said as the Head of the Church, Jn 14:19

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

We know Christ Lives from the Testimony of scripture of His Resurrection, its a Gospel Truth 1 Cor 15:5-4

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

In fact, if He had not risen, it means that those He died for are yet in their sins 1 Cor 15:17

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Now Christ being raised from the dead, after having been delivered to death for our sins, He rose again for Our Justification Rom 4:25

25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Which resurrection/raising again is Life, Jesus said once again Jn 11:25

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life

Now the Justification in Rom 5:18 is that which is stated in Rom 4:25, and through and by that Resurrection, Life is communicated to the Justified, which are all men for whom He was delivered for their offences/sins .

This Life is communicated to them, in so much as the Head Lives, the Body Must Live.

Since the Head rose from the Dead with Resurrection Life, the members of His Body must also, or the Heads Resurrection was for nought, fruitless.

Life results from Justification, which is why Jesus rose from the dead, after having been condemned to death for our sins, when Justice for the condemned was satisfied, proof was resurrection from the dead, Life, when Christ was given life from the dead, it was a pledge that all whom He represented shall be given Life from the dead, because they were Justified to Life. Life results from Justification because Justification is Righteousness. The word for Justification in both Rom 5:18;4:25 is dikaiósis and means:

the act of pronouncing righteous, acquittal

God Honors Righteousness with Life Prov 12:28

In the way of righteousness is life: and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

Gill writes on this verse:

In the way of righteousness is life,.... The life of the soul, or spiritual life, as Aben Ezra; and eternal life, as Gersom. One that is in the true way of righteousness is one that is instilled by the righteousness of Christ, which justification is the justification of life: such an one is made alive, and reckons himself alive in a law sense; and enjoys true spiritual peace and comfort, arising from the love and favour of God, and acceptance with him, in which he sees his interest, and in which is life; and this righteousness, by which he is justified before God, entitles him to eternal life; to which the path of holiness, he is directed and enabled to walk in, leads; though it is a narrow way, and a strait gate, Matthew 7:14. Christ, and righteousness and holiness in and by him, are the way, the truth, and the life, or the true way to eternal life; and all in this way now live spiritually, and shall live eternally, John 14:6;
One cannot be one for whom Christ died, and not receive Justification of Life, that would mean that the Resurrection was a farce, and those Christ died for are yet still in their sins ! 1 Cor 15:17 ! 16

Because He Lives, we shall Live!

Jesus once said as the Head of the Church, Jn 14:19

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Jesus here is Speaking as the Head of His Body the Church. Because He Lives speaks of His Resurrection from the dead after having giving Himself for His Body the Church Eph 5:25

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

And He is the Saviour of the Body, His Church Eph 5:23

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

The Body and the Church are the same. He is the Saviour of the Body, and because the Head Lives, the Body must Live also, or something has went wrong, has aborted !

The Head was delivered from Death, so must the Body be also. This answers the Prophecy we have in Isa 26:19

Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Christ's Body the Church, was dead in sin Eph 2:1,5

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

When we [The Body, Church] were dead in sins, God quickened us together with Christ [Our Head and Saviour] !

The Body is made alive and lives because its Head was made alive to Live !

Jesus as the risen Head says Rev 1:18

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Rev 2:8

And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Jesus speaking metaphorically says of His Body the Church, His Temple Jn 2:19-21

19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?

21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

We understand that His Body the Church, is also the Temple of God Eph 2:21

21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

The Church is His Body Eph 1:22-23

22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

The Church is His Temple Eph 2:21

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

1 Cor 3:16

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Because He Lives, He builds His Temple, raises it up Acts 15:16

16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

This is the fulfillment of Amos 9:11 where it reads raise up instead of build again 11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

Its the same word used in Isa 26:19

Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Because the Head Lives, so must His Body Live, His Body with all of its individual members 1 Cor 12:12

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 16

According to Rom 5:9 !

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Were believers Justified by Christ's Blood or by their believing /faith ? It cannot be both, for being Justified by His Blood is not our act of faith, and our believing is not the Blood of Christ!
