Freedom of speech is relative to the law, not what others think for they too have freedom of speech and that allows them to their opinion as well. When one exercises a freedom, there can be undesirable consequences.

That is a very un-Christian attitude. We should never laugh at the misfortunes of others. Ever. That is an attitude of self-righteousness and pride which invites a humbling rebuke from God. We pray for those we disagree with. It is also worth noting that any nation’s downfall only happens according to the will of God.

You have misunderstood what Jesus said that is written in John 8:44 as you have to go back to vs. 31 to know Jesus was addressing the Jews that believed in Him and then further down Jesus was addressing the Jews that came against Him calling Jesus a blasphemer wanting to put Him to death. There are Jews even today that are still awaiting a coming Messiah, but not all of Israel is Gods chosen people, but of the synagogue of Satan.

It's the same thing with Germans or any nationality that if they reject Christ they are none of His own, even if they go to Church like Hitler did, but yet was of the synagogue of Satan.
