For all the effort it seems a sad waste. :sad

Surely Noah must have been told the same 'words' (Eccl. 3:15) + Matt. 10:15 documentation from Christ. And Peters INSPIRED WORDS of 2 Peter 3:16 which sure sounds like a personal [ATTACK] on the messenger by a 'mod'? because some do indeed fit into the verse 16's last part of the verse?? (at least for now:sad)

2 Peter 3
[11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
[12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
[14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
[15] And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
[16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, [[as they do also the other scriptures]], unto their own destruction.

--Elijah

Elijah you have a vast knowledge of scripture. I have a hard time trying to grasp the point you are trying to make... But you are not building a big boat are ya ?

And Peters INSPIRED WORDS of 2 Peter 3:16 which sure sounds like a personal [ATTACK] on the messenger by a 'mod'?

Having had my sincerity, faith, and character called into question in these fora repeatedly by you, Elijah, you shouldn't be throwing stones at anyone.

This is not an attack i find it sad i can not understand your postings... You spend much time on them you have a ton of knowledge but i dont understand you...That is not an attack. If it is anything it is a plea for some help in understanding what your saying,.

What Scripture is it that is posted, that was not understood? --Elijah

Elijah it is not the scriptures them selves but the thoughts or ideas your are trying to convey.... You have chapter and verse posted we can look them all up. I am not in your mind to see how you are presenting your thoughts... You really put a lot of time into your postings... i may not always agree with you and others here but i would like to understand you. If i could figure you out i might even learn a thing are two!

Hi again!:study Let's do it this way?? First, lets just leave off with anything personal & stick to what the posted Word says that is posted up. If I insert Matt. 4:4 for instance, what does this mean? And when it is given the meaning for me that is what is posted. (right or wrong)

OK: Here is the verse + what led up to them so far....
Matt. 4

[1] Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
[2] And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
[3] And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
[4] But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by [every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God].

OK: That is short. But it includes how much of Christ WORD to live by?

Job. 23 says it this way...
[10] But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
[11] My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
[12] Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;I have esteemed [the words of his mouth more than my necessary food].

('I have esteemed' finds ones real motives as I see it!)

So, I ask the question, how much of the Bible is REQUIRED for us to know real Truth? And are we required to know the real Truth?? And if so, AGAIN what do these verses say in Christ's WORD to ALL OF MANKIND?;) And how about Hosea 4:6??
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: [because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject thee], ..'

If you do not understand this, just post up what it is that is not understood? And if you do understand, Great! Then perhaps Matt. 4:1-11 which is full of Vital Truth can be carried on?

--Elijah

Are you showing the connection of your point by your underling? Showing how the Word is continuous?

Something like this...

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Deu 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Paraphrasing is your friend. Just posting scripture is not an effective way to make a point (regardless the underlines, bolds, colors, etc.) because it does nothing to point out the assumptions the readers already have for the verse and it's context, significance, etc. If you can put your point into your own words then you are able to head our preconceptions off at the pass, so to speak, that we might not fall back into the rut we've always believed the particular verse leads.

OK you two.;) What I do is because of perhaps being a Christian brought up by a poor uneducated mother from a family of 13, & a father who came from a rich educated family of four. And with Myself being caught in between this unequal yoke. The good of that finds my being able to talk to both class, but emphasizing points are a first requirement.

Example: Rev. 17:1-5 in the K.J. has the compliers say it this way. ..
Rev. 17
[5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Now who can live 'best' with that, the educated or mom's kin?

Here is another from. Heb. 12 in the K.J. if this 'Educated' site allows it? And I say that because some do & some don't. But who would you think of the two class of todays ones would like these penned Words of the pennman the best? (just omit the middle class for now, ok? for 'i' was caught in the middle)
Heb. 12
[7] If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
[8] But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, [then are ye bastards,] and not sons.

(and was the point understood best with NO emphasis? And by whom, the un/educated or the educated who might get offended??)

Lets try just one more? Hang unto your hats if you are well off & educated! (or are easily offended)
Lets see 1 Sam. 25:22 or 2 Ki. 18:27?

2 Kings 18 is example enough for where I am coming from.

[25] Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.

[26] Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rab-shakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; [[for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews' language in the ears of the people that are on the wall]].
[27] But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath [[he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you.]]

So it seems that one must just work according to their own 'conviction' + calling!
That is why I emphasise POST MATERIAL over post person!:thumbsup

PS: And yes, 'i' have always had an cautious thought for snobs!

Super Glue RIDES THE BUS [[JOHN 3:16!!!]] but chalk walks wherever he goes! [2Kings 4:16!!!]

And who are these ones of [Isa. 46:10???] Do not think that I have come with WAFFLES FOR LUNCH! But wait! What if those REV. 17:5 ones could have EGGS FOR DINNER?!? [[Rev. 1:9 + Gen. 1:6!]]

This is about as much sense as your posts make, Eli, and - as you can see - I'm not the only who doesn't understand them.

How about, just once, putting a single, cogent thought in your own words without all the Bible references and formatting that make your thoughts impossible to follow? Start it with the words, "I think..."

Just for the forum: (and you) Are you a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, or have you ever been?

PS: And yes, I understand that the sites mods can be correct in deleating the question with having no bearing on Bible Study. But I do not see it that way. If everyone would state what denomination that they at least lean to, (unless they are ashamed of that church) then one could study in Bible studies things that are BIBLE & not personal satanic jabs at the post person. Yet, these things are allowed by some mods, huh.

As you post up...

And this garbage is your true [POSTING] Bible study material 2 Cor. 4:2 stuff.
And yes, Christ has already told 'me' what to expect from the ones of Matt. 10:5-6 that are to be judged as verse 15 documents, & then on to verse 25. And I know that your LOVE is only just getting started. --Elijah

OK guysmod reba speaking now,, we need to get on topic...

Elijah's OP is now posted again

Personally i hope i can understand your points a bit better Elijah :)

[FONT=Verdana, arial]Elijah here: These days find most still on 'milk' but not all:thumbsup! We spin our wheel's much for most, yet here comes along one with 'one eye open' at least for now. See if you can learn anything from this post from another site?[/FONT]

The Christian faith is an extension of their Jewish Scriptures

If the Church replaces Israel, then what do we do with all the Old Testament saints if they've been replaced?

At least you are thinking spiritually! Most are not! (Rev. 17:1-5 is FACT!)

OK: Think of what it seems that you are asking? Christ came OT and found His Isa. 5 Virgin VINEYARD (in True Doctrine) verse 3 Christ/less. (compare John 12:42-43) Closed DOOR, DESOLATE [HOUSE='s VINEYARD! (Isa. 5:7!)

So as you say rightfully, the N.T. is now an REMNANT EXTENSION! (Matt. 10:5-6)
Here is where all must see again the truth of Eccl. 3:15, as in the twice documentation of Eccl. 1:9-10 + how God establishes this Fact ! (again in Gen. 41:32) Now reapply the past/tense EXTENSION GREAT SHAKING OR FALLING AWAY of 2 Thess. [[AGAIN]] to these EXTENDED ONES just before Christ comes again it documents in verse 9! (this is the same message repeated again to the ones of Rev. 17:1-5 + Laodicea of Rev. 3:16-17, with Laodicea’s ENDING again SEEN IN REV. 3:9!

Now you FIND a verse 10 of Rev. 3 that are ONCE AGAIN the Rev. 12:17 'few' [REMNANT]. !) (again the extension) These are the ones who are in Rev. 3 at the same time. The same as with old Israel. The Remnant left the fallen fold & the Christ/less fold (or church) stayed put. These are the sixth Remnant of Phil. the sixth REPLACING 'SPEWED OUT' Laodicea. Their Candlestick is removed as WARNED in Rev. 2:5 with NO Repentance.

Now comes the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the world only for those who had never had the opportunity to KNOW Matt. 24:14 Truth. These few will be the 144000 who had never been defiled with the other women, (false church’s) because they came from this Virgin Shaking of True Laodicea doctrine, yet totally fallen to Christ/less/ness, as was old Israel. Again verse 3 of Isa. 5 found the FATAL DECISION of church over the Christ and [HIS FLAW/LESS DOCTRINE OF HIS EX/CHURCH]. Matt. 23:1-3

Now we see 666 the prophesied 'educated persecution' by world Satellite in the ‘last day increased wisdom’ court setting! (this wisdom was not ‘allowed’ for watching ball/games!) Laodicea + the huge Rev. 17:1-5 ones all join in hand to again persecute. Thus the Rev. 14:6-10 3 Angels Messages finishes with again the Acts life or death choice of totally 100% belonging to Christ! Are these ones of Phil. organized? What do you think!

And sonofHilkiah77, it is good to find one sincerely looking for truth around here! (+ understanding the Lords WORD, while most others do not even have a faint idea of what has been said!

Reba posted up in 'to small' lettering for us old timers to hardly see!;) She has it this way:
[Chapter and verse are provided so all may read the context.]

So the first requirement to understanding the Word of God is to (MAY READ??) READ THE VERSES from Gods Word. Meaning Matt. 4:4 'EVERY WORD' from 2 Tim. 3:16's ALL SCRIPTURE & 'for doctrine'.

Isa.5

[1] Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: (see verse 7)
[2] And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

[3] And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, [judge,] I pray you, betwixt [me[ and [my vineyard].

(again My Vineyard in verse seven, is the HOUSE OF GOD)

[4] What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

[5] And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
[6] And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
[7] For the [[vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house]] of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

OK: God documented the Repeats of His WORD. In 70AD were see the slaughter of old Israel.. a Remnant escaped) There is the OT & NT repeating the same history just before Christ came & comes again, as seen here for old Israel. Both are again rejected, for CHRIST was not CHOOSEN. (see Verse 3 again) It was a Christless VINEYARD documentred in verse 7 as His ex/house or fold that was choosen. (context? see Acts 7:38 as CHURCH + John 12:42-43)

And one can take their pick according to their [knowledge] for the exact same repeat of Eccl. 1:9-10 + Eccl. 3:15, with Laodicea being SPEWED OUT as sickening or the Rev. 17:5 ones that are clearly seen as a prophesied done deal?

And Laodicea is seen in verse 9 in their finished work again as was old Israel!

And the eternal warning?? Is seen in Rev. 2:5! And the candlestick's are the seven church's. Rev. 1:20. And only SEVEN can let you know for sure the time/frame of earth is in.

--Elijah

But then there are Gentile believers who have it mixed up and through false doctrine and arrogance, and I mean an inordinate amount of pride in their hearts, they think Jesus was Gentile and the Church replaces Israel.

I don't know who in their right mind believes Jesus was a Gentile, but as to the church replacing Israel: insofar as the New Covenant has replaced the Old and the kingdom of God has been removed from Israel and given to Christ and His church, Israel has been "replaced." Have Gentiles "replaced" Jews in the promises made to Abraham? No. They have been "grafted into" Israel, but have not replaced it.

If the Church replaces Israel, then what do we do with all the Old Testament saints if they've been replaced?

Who says they've been replaced? The 12 gates of the New Jerusalem are named after the 12 patriarchs of Israel:

It [New Jerusalem] had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Revelation 21:12-14 (NASB)

You still do not come across clearly for some. Are you saying that this [New Jerusalem] is not God's Kingdom seen coming to earth??? --Elijah
