Your questions aren't new questions, so your in good company.
If it's any consolation, I view baptism similar to a wedding, but much deeper because you will be uniting with Christ in his death, burial and resurection from the way i read Romans 6.
On the day of Pentecost, the Jews who were responsible for putting Jesus on the cross, though Jesus willfully went to the cross, realized they had committed a great sin, and where worried about their salvation, and needed some assurance much like yourself. With their hearts pricked, they asked much of the same question you are asking. That is, I've done wrong, and I want to do right. How can I be saved? Peter answers, repent, and be baptized, and you WILL be saved.
And 3,000 believed Peters words that day and were brought into Gods family.

Hope that helps.

I just got back with the meeting with my pastor and we are shooting for the actual Baptism sometime after Easter in the middle of April. :cross So that's ironic that my name is April and that's the month that I will also be getting baptized in. And also he will be setting up some classes for me to get more familiar with the Methodist faith. He also told me some good chapters like John and Mark are good to start with in reading the Bible so that's exactly what I'll do. He told me not to feel embarssed about the fact that I'm not good at that or praying yet either. He finally clarified for me that without a shadow of a doubt, if I'm hearing scripture I do have the ability to communicate with and understand God because everything I told him that I heard lines up with it in some way or for which I find absolutely incredible and amazing. He was pretty baffled and astounded with it to. The most important thing he told me was to never feel guilt about my sin because they are always forgiven. And never doubt my salvation because of the fact I want a relationship with Jesus. Although it can be complicated like a lot of relationships are, I am saved because I asked Jesus into my heart and no matter what I do wrong, I will always be forgiven because God has already claimed me as His own. :)

Went well, now you can stop worrying:lol
Glad you are going to have classes, I"m sure you will love them. Time passes quickly - it will soon be April.

Yeah for the most part. I'm going to worry occasionally abut things but another thing that He told me is that once I get baptized I will have a whole new life in Jesus Christ since I am publicly stating that I want to spend the rest of my life following Him and serving Him. :cross

Just remember that worry is the same as doubt which are things only Satan plants in our mind as God wants us to worry for nothing and to never doubt who He is. You know Christ and are safe and secure in Him so there is nothing to worry and doubt about. The book of John is a very good place to start as it will bring you into a deeper relationship with Christ as you gain more understanding of who He is in you and you in Him.

BTW Sis, kick that ole devil in the butt when he tries to play those head games with you because he is a losssssser!!! Jesus said so :)

Am I a totally evil person for envisioning Jesus doing that to Satan while making a L shape with His fingers on His forehead?

That's exactly what you planted in my head when you said that lol :lol I can't possibly imagine Jesus doing that for real, but it sure is funny.

Hey guys, I just got another email from my pastor and we are looking at either April 8th, 15th, or the 22nd to be baptized of this year. He told me that he usually just pours a lot of water on adults, but if it means more to me to be immersed (which it does) he is looking at getting a big enough container to do so. Which I told him that I would really like that if it isn't too much trouble. He also said that he would really love for me to read the poem that I wrote entitled Neverland in the books and other readings and my testimony that I wrote that I will be posting in the Testimony section shortly. So yeah, it's getting pretty exciting that we're really narrowing dates down and getting everything together. :biggrin

Oh, here's another update; my Baptism will now either take place on the 8th or the 15th. I will probably be going to church this Sunday to pinpoint the actual day.

what type church you attend {He told me that he usually just pours a lot of water on adults,} only handful sprinkle

that is what i was asking i was raised in the united methodsit church... i semi suspected Methodist glad he is baptizing you by immersion

Well he offered to at least. I just don't want to force him to if it is too much trouble but I would personally prefer immersion myself.

Alright guys, as I just posted in the lounge,.. the official date for my Baptism is April 15th 2018 :biggrin So I will let you guys know if anymore details popup. I said that I would be more than willing to go with the pouring water over the head if it would be less trouble so unless he says that he wouldn't mind going with the immersion we'll probably do it that way then. Just waiting to see what he has to say about it. It's all up to him now. But yeah, I'm SO excited about this I can hardly wait!!! :woot:sohappy :cross

full immersion should be no problem other than Him getting wet to the whole thing less than 5 minuets

Hopefully not but he would have to get a container first and rearrange everything in the room to fit it in and fill it. I still really want to go with immersion but I also don't want tour pester the poor man and make him feel forced into it.
