Why would a man be afraid of cooking anyway?
My dad used to do most of the cooking at home when I was a kid. At my workplace our best cook is a guy. My ex-bf used to make the best cakes and waffles. Can't imagine why anyone would think cooking is unmanly. A man that refuses to cook is unmanly because that means either he's too lazy, or he's incapable to fend for himself, or he's old fashioned and insecure of his manliness. But thank God most men I know aren't like that. Men cooking at home are normal nowadays.
I have known many men who could not boil water :)

Are men still like that? I can cook pretty good. Not as good as most women, but pretty good. What's unmanly about being able to cook? Most of the men I know cook and help their wives cook. I think it'd take a pretty small mind to think it was unmanly or beneath a man to cook. That's crazy. I know a few men that are of the 'get in the kitchen and make me a sammich' type attitude but they are also of a ridiculous mindset in many other ways also.

I'll stand down fast to a woman that wants to cook, because most are better than I at it, but I'll sure help if they want me too.
Some of the most famous and best chefs in the world are men.

I know! I thought that not men not cooking was something from the dark ages. I like cooking. It's fun. There's really not that many different kinds of food. Just preparing them in different combinations is the art.

Like Mexican food for instance. About 8 different ingredients, put together in different ways. Mexican food is the AC/DC of the food world, lol. :rofl2

I am stuck inside. We have just had a storm.Their is about one inch of ice outside.Lastnight I called Pizza Hut to deliver because we were all out of stuff to eat.I bought enough pizza and side items to last a couple of days.I think I will make some flourless peanut butter cookies today. :)

Oh no, McDonald's again? :lol And no pictures?
:wall Believe me this was a challenge. For me anyway. When it comes to computers it is pretty scary.I figured this a nice narrow road that I am traveling.Although sometimes it gets pretty rocky and hard to travel.

Meatloaf , maple butter glazed carrots , mashed potatoes, brown gravy ... tossed salad ...tomorrow meatloaf sandwiches...:)

todays was 5 pounds of hamburger 2 pounds of sausage ... I use oat meal and about 1 egg per pound of meat. copped onions, bell peppers, chopped mushrooms... canned milk tomato sauce. some of this and some of that ...some times it is what is at hand .... I bake it mounded in a shallow roasting pan so it is moist on the inside with a crust on the out side... For one as big as this one i make a ' lifter' out of foil so it lifts up easily.

Love the sandwiches...

Hmmm...a bit different than mine. The sausage is a nice extra.7 lbs of meat. That makes a big meatloaf. The only problem I have with mine is that sometimes it breaks apart and it does not slice in nice uniform slices.

We had company for dinner and want to make sure we have sandwiches ... Most folks i know use a sweet sauce ...How do you make yours?

Well,I just make it for myself. But it is ground beef, onions, green peppers and sometimes red peppers, and egg, ketsup, worchestire sauce and oats a little salt and tons of pepper.Sometimes I put a pinch of garlic powder in it.I hate mushrooms with a passion.A mushroom will never touch my lips :).Like you I do not follow a recipe. My mother used to love meatloaf sandwiches. But I have never had one.The sausage sounds good.I might add that next time.

Are you for hire, or do you mail out orders? That's my kind of eating. :thumbsup

Got a batch of good ol' fashioned pinto beans up there cooking. I think I'll make them into some burritos. :)

I need to stop off and get some green chilis for them and some tortillas, oh and onions, out of onions...

I am such a dork.
Last night I made tuna casserole, and when it was finished cooking, I realized I forgot the tuna!!!
