Sorry but I actually watched it....it was educational, I know more about boa constrictors than I ever knew possible....:cool2

I didn't see it, but I heard that the snake refused to eat him. How bad do you have to be before a boa constrictor refuses to eat you?

The TOG

From what I understand, that program was taped months ago, so all the hype & spin that was used to promote the program was a major case of fraud.

His bid to be eaten and, of course, rescued before perishing, was filmed last spring but the documentary took two years to prepare. Its makers’ main task was to ensure Rosolie didn’t end up like the snake’s usual meals: crushed until he was asphyxiated.

On the Discovery Channel special that aired Sunday night, Rosolie got himself wound up by the massive snake but balked when it began to swallow his helmet, as it apparently had not occurred to him that getting eaten by a snake would involve getting eaten by a snake.

:lol

The snake could not grasp the helmet, his mouth was not even close to that big anyway.Supposedly, the snake was about to crush his arm, so then he called it off.

I guess he's doing this to bring awareness to all the logging being done in the Amazon. I think he is just trying to get his 15 minutes of fame in a really bad way.

First, he and his team stalked that snake. Second, they tempted, taunted, then held that snake in unwarranted custody. Third, they subjected the snake to mass ridicule because the snake didn't respond as they wished. Fourth, we do not truly know what happened to that snake afterwards.

Poor snake.

Well, they had a fit when they learned about the show. The link I provided discussed how PETA was upset about potential abuse of the snake.

Could a snake that size really consume a human alive?
They showed a picture of a guy that was constricted by a snake and the man's head was in the snakes mouth.

There was a story out a year or so ago about 2 boys sleeping on the living room floor of their apartment, the neighbors boa got lose and killed the boys.

It's disgusting. I think those guys are stupid to be messing with those snakes.
