I never was much about talking about the Kenites.
But Nimrod is different.
If you want to talk about Nimrod, I'll talk about Nimrod.

By the way, I thought you were leading up to a pre and post trib debate,
You fooled me.

What happened?
Did you scare him off?

I have no idea what's going on with the replies so far, but the restoration of Israel during the millennium?
Does the fig tree represent Israel?
Luk 21:29 Behold the fig tree, and all the trees . . .
Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. :shrug

I think he is referring to the parable of the fig tree, about that generation shall not pass till all be fulfilled.
Matt.24:32-34

The parable of the fig tree can be found in Jeremiah 24:2-10
The captive of Judah, came back to their land, became a nation again, but the evil figs also remain in the rest of their land.
They became a nation, in 1948, in certain areas, had war with the others in 1967 or 68, and had gain more land.
Still fighting.....

Israel has always been a nation, they just haven't always had their own sovereign state. Temple Judaism was not producing good fruit 2000yrs ago, so Jesus had it destroyed. Today's State of Israel is not the same as Temple Judaism, thank God.

Hi dear Sister dianegcook, I've heard that concept for years also, but it appears the generation of our modern man has elapsed based on 65 years, but to me the generation that sees the events of Matthew Chapter Twenty-four beginning with the second half of the tribulation are them to see this prophesy come to pass.

Mat 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. (What things?)
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Notice this next verse preceding this generational prophesy.
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Again - Isa 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
I also believe that a nation born of God does not represent the present national Israel; I'm thinking of the 144,000 of Rev 14:1.

My thoughts, and thanks for your reply. :)

And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
(Luk 21:29)

Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.
(Pro 27:18)
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
(Mat 24:46)

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
(Mat 24:32-33)

We are reading way to much into this. Just like the fig tree, (AND THE OTHER TREE'S) It will be known to us the season, (AS FIG TREE'S HAVE A SEASON) to know when our lord returns. Just before Tribulation and disaster come on this whole earth.

What is a generation exactly?
Could be a 120 years, really don't know.

He said learn the parable of the fig tree,
Mark 13:28-30
Of course that generation that goes thru the tribulation, shall not pass.
But when did that generation begin?
In Mark 13:28, when her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near, so ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is at the doors.
Present day Israel?
Judah is just one tribe.
Israel, consist mainly from Emphraim, representing 10 tribes.
They are scattered all over, even Judah.
The gentiles still have control of the Dome of the Rock.

In Ezekiel.37:16-28
You have 2 sticks, Judah and stick of Joseph , which is , the stick of Emphraim.
Join them together, one stick.
Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his fellows join with the tribe of Judah.
This does not happen until when?
Ezekiel.37:22, one King shall be king unto them, no more 2 Nations nor divided unto 2 Kingdoms anymore.
They shall neither defile themselves anymore.
My tabernacle also shall be with them.
Yet future.
When Christ is Here to reign.

Question is, whom is Emphraim?
I believe I came from that tribe.
Where does that leave me? Lol

The 144, 000 are not just Jewish. (Judah)
We are mixed with a lot of people.
Israel, the 10 tribes, Emphraim, went north through the Caucus mts, spread all over Europe, mixed with other nationalities, England, and of course here in the U.S.
You might had come from one, through generations and generations.

Regardless, there is neither Jew nor Greek, one in Christ Jesus.

Thanks for your time!

Nope, lol.
AFTER the tribulation, He shall gather His elect. Matt.24:29-31

:wink

The ones that suffered and barley made it through, I agree, but even the 144,000 end up in the throne room before the end. Unless your planing to really just mess things up, I would not get your hopes of staying down here on Earth and watching everything first hand. There are plenty of Widescreens in Heaven, and lots of seats to comfortably watch it all play out.

JLB thinks the same thing, He wants to be here also, and there is just no reason for wanting to stick around.

If you notice Dianegcook. Jesus said no man will know the day or the Hour "AFTER" he explained the great tribulation. Even His servants were told to be ready.

When He comes at the end with the Angels, the whole earth will know that time down to the last 1/2 hour, and will try to hide from the face of the lamb.
Check it out.

Mike.

who was left at the time of Noah?

Noah and Nimrod.

Nimrod was his grandson....not born until after the flood and the OP question was who was "left" after the flood, as in remained...

Answer: only Noah, his wife, and his three sons and their wives...

The choice is not mine to make.
When does He comes?
3 1/2 days after the 2 witnesses are killed.
When that is, I don't know, but will know when it does happen.

Yep, those that took the Mark, went to the wrong wedding, were deceived by Satan, will be ashamed, but they can't hide.

He does come after that, and it's judgement time. The last angel will sound a trumpet, the 6th seal will be released, then the 7th seal.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
(Mat 24:29-30 KJV)

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
(Rev 6:14-16 KJV)
And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
(Rev 8:1 KJV)

So, when that 6th seal is released, the sun, moon stars will all change. Men will try to hide from the Lord Jesus, they have just 1/2 hour of complete silence after the the sign of the sun, moon and stars.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
(Mat 24:36 KJV)
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
(Mat 24:44 KJV)

One event, we know the exact time down to the last half hour. So much people try to run and hide from Jesus.

The other event Jesus described we don't know even the Hour or day. No time to hide, those that Call Jesus Lord and serve him are told to be ready.

What happened before that?/
6:2-
Sat on white horse, he went forth to conquer, so called antichrist.

Red horse, war
Black horse, famine Rev.6:6
A measure of wheat for a penny.......
And see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Pale horse, death and hell followed with him.
Spiritual death or physical

Verse 9, saw under the altar souls of them that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held.
They were given white robes.
Verse 13 of Rev.6
And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs,
Out of season.
Verse 17, the great day of His wrath is come.
