I answered the actual question, "What are you waiting for?", which seemd appropriate for a theological forum. The numbers don't make sense. There are no + signs at the end of the first two rows. If you assume text-wrapping, you get something like 30 (Reba was closest!).
treat each line as a separate equation and the equations are added together. (Since there are no instructions to say to do otherwise)
still come up with 12.

Can't. It's not an "equation" without an = sign.

You could ignore the top two lines and just solve the bottom line and get 2. Kind of a stupid game at this point.

Oh, this is whak. You guys made me take another look, and there are no + signs after the first two lines. Either you make it a continuous line and, Reba's right, or you dismiss everything before the last line and Kevin is right.

One thing is certain. KevinK you are right. It's a stupid game.

By convention, you apply PEMDAS order (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction).

but wait...(I wanna be right once)
not all equations get an "=". consider chemical equations...they don't get an equal sign.
and since none was given...I considered each line to be an equation...and the page to be a system of equations that must be solved.

OH John....chemical equations get an arrow (sometimes a double-arrow) to represent the process (a chemical reaction) to go from one side of the equation to the other. Also, chemicals are represented by letters, not numbers (although numbers may be present to indicate quantity or isotope). So this isn't a chemical equation.

The Rapture. I'm waiting for The Rapture. Well, Parousia (the Second Coming) first, then the Rapture.

He already came as he promised.

That's it. Would it apply to the 12 apostles where one was excluded, one was a fill in, and one was chosen as one out of due time?
Well... actually there is 13 but one belongs to God so we don't count him. Like the twelve tribes.
