I beleive a little recent history might help enlighten our heritage.......
Until recently, 40-50 years ago among Christians keeping sabbath has only been a discussion of
whether to keep it or not ....
Before that it was usually asdiscussion of WHICH day to keep,Sabbath....either sat. Or sunday

I remember some Blue Laws as a child in the south......diminished in the 70s and 80s......
My papa was a strict sabbath keeper on Sunday....never worked.......on sunday.....
CHristians from the 1st century have been strict Sabbath keepers.....(sunday)
PIlgrims were strict Sabbath Sunday keepers......
Did anyone see CHARIOTS OF FIRE......
That was common practice for most Christians 100 years ago......

It could be said that we are the first or second generation since Christ to question the keeping of the Sabbath day ??????

I believe there is no question that Saturday is the Seventh day of the week and is the Sabbath.

JLB

I agree saturday is the sabbath......
All I am saying is the discussion should be which day????
Not IF to keep Sabbath!!!!!!

My discussion within this thread has been "how" the Sabbath is to be observed.

Some here use the scriptures from Exodus to indicate that the Sabbath is to be kept according to that commandment, however they fall to realize that included the punishment of death for the violators.

Now under Christ, Paul teaches us not to concerned about the observance of one above another, whether new moons or sabbaths or feast days since the substance of those things is Christ.

Hi JBL,

Nice to hear from you again my friend. HAPPY NEW YEARS to you and your family for 2018!

Did you have anything new to add to the discussion? Everything you have been posting has already been carefully adressed with the scriptures in God's Word and posted for your consideration.

May I respectfully request that if you do not believe a post and the scriptures and the questions provided to you are correct, could you please give your REASONS WHY from GOD'S WORD as I have done for you? I think this would help the conversation better. What do you think?

If your posts and scriptures have already been addressed already and more scripture that disagrees with your interpretation of the scriptures provided, I will just post you the post # linked. Maybe you missed the post I do not know.

Please understand that just ignoring a post provided you and scriptures posted does not make the scriptures go away because God's Word is forever and it is the Word of God that is to judge us in the last days.

What would help, would be that you post the New Testament scriptures as I have asked you, that teach us how the Sabbath is to be observed today.

Answered already with scriptures. Please see the linked posts # 2; 28; 46; 53; 63 Forever; If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures. So far you have only just been repeating what you have already said the first time and ignored the posts and scriptures sent to you.

I have given you Romans 14 with the context of the commandments being addressed starting in Romans 13 in which the commandments are seen as expressions of faith working by love so as not to do harm to our neighbor which, as Paul points out in Romans 14 is making the observance of one day over another is up to each individual and not to be judged just as eating certain foods is.

Answered already with scriptures. Please see the linked posts # 22; 28; If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures.

Paul reiterates this in Colossians and teaches us about letting people judge us concerning sabbaths or special days which all point to and have their substance in Christ. 16 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

Answered already with scriptures. Please see the linked posts # 13; along with a more detailed reply linked in the new thread here in a 5/5 Part post starting here. If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures.

Again the law of Moses taught that the Sabbath was to be observed with strict rules and guidelines, of which if a person was so much as to pick up sticks to start a fire, they were to be put to death.

Answered already with scriptures. Please see the linked posts # 21; 46; 48; . If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures.

Finally I have shown from the scriptures where the weekly Sabbath rest points us to when Christ returns and removes all our enemies and gives us rest with glorified resurrected bodies that contain no sin, in which it constantly at war with the Spirit. This will occur on the last prophetic Day which will be the 7th thousandth Year from Adam. 4 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh dayin this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” 6 Since therefore it remains that some mustenter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
Hebrews 4:1-10 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh dayin this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”

Ditto; Answered already with scriptures. Please see the linked posts # 29; 38; . If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures.

Well there is a lot of scripture for you to consider my friend. I look forward to your reply.

....................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Hope this helps.

Yet you do not follow God's 4th Commandment; like God asks you to and REMEMBER the 7th day to keep it Holy?

Exodus 20
8, Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9, Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10, But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11, For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested theSEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

More accusations?
No accusations my friend NOT at all you are free to believe as you like. I do not judge you or anyone.

Didn't you say you believe we should obey all of God's Commandments and but then say you do not follow God's 4th Commandment (Exodus 20:8-11).

I can provide the posts I am refering to if that would help.

Maybe I have a misunderstanding?

Hi JBL, I dont mind if you would like to discuss Hebrews 4 but for the reasons and scriptures already posted I do not believe that this is referring to some kind of prophetic Sabbath as already started God's Sabbath is a part of a FINISHED Work that has it's origin from Genesis 2:1-3 in the week of creation given to mankind BEFORE the fall (SIN) and it is a part of God's eternal LAW (10 commandments) that define SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and not a part of the Shadow Mosaic laws written in the book of Moses.

Let's have a look at Hebrews 4............

HEBREWS 4
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limited a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Key Scripture points...............

* Fear that the promise being left us any of us should fall short of entering God’s rest (v1)
* The Gospel was preached to the people in the Wilderness as well as us. The Word did not profit those in the wilderness because of their unbelief (v2)
* For we which have believed do enter into His Rest. The people in the wilderness that did not believe God did not enter into His Rest even though works were finished from the foundation of the world (v3)
* Speaking of the 7th Day Sabbath and the last day of the creation week (Gen 2:1-3) (v4)
* God’s rest (Gen 2:1-3), those that believe enter into God’s 7th Day Sabbath rest those that do not believe do not enter into God’s 7th Day Sabbath rest (v5-6)
* Harden not your heart in unbelief (v7-8)
* There is a rest for the people of God (v9)
* Those that enter into God’s rest (Gen 2:1-3) cease from works as God did v10
* We should labour to enter into God’s rest (Gen 2:1-3) faith in God’s Word (rest through believing God) v11
* The Word of God is powerful. v12

Please go back and look at the Greek meaning of the word "rest" used in Heb 4:9 its meaning is resting through keeping of a Sabbath or Sabbath observance. (I have provided Greek links below)

Hebrews 4:9 (NAS)
“There remaineth therefore a [Sabbath] rest G4520 to the people of God.”

The Greek word literally means “Sabbath keeping” or “Sabbath observance.” (links below)

Strong's Concordance 4520
sabbatismos:
a sabbath rest
Original Word: σαββατισμός, οῦ, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: sabbatismos
Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos')
Short Definition: a Sabbath rest
Definition: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.

Strong's Greek 4520

σαββατισμὸς — 1 Occ.
Hebrews 4:9N-NMS
GRK: ἄρα ἀπολείπεται σαββατισμὸς τῷ λαῷ
NAS: there remains a Sabbath rest for the people
KJV: therefore a rest to the people
INT: Then remains a sabbath rest to the people

Thayer's Greek Lexicon
STRONGS NT 4520: σαββατισμός

σαββατισμός, σαββατισμου, ὁ (σαββατίζω to keep the sabbath); 1. a keeping sabbath. 2. the blessed rest from toils and troubles looked for in the age to come by the true worshippers of God and true Christians (R. V. sabbath rest): Hebrews 4:9. (Plutarch, de superstit. c. 3; ecclesiastical writings.)

So let’s pull it all together...................

The context is God’s rest from the week of creation on the 7th Day of the creation week (Heb 4:1-5). Those that did not enter into God’s rest (7th Day Sabbath) did not enter in because of their unbelief and disobedience (sins) to God’s Word. The Gospel was preached unto them but they did not believe it (Heb 4:2). God did not give them His true rest (Heb 4:5-8). This is the same warning for those that disobey Him and do not follow His Word. Only those that believe and obey God’s Word enter into his 7th Day Sabbath rest (Heb 4:6, 9, 10-12). So you can see Jesus is not a Sabbath. The Sabbath is the 7th Day of the Week. Jesus is Lord of this Day because he is the creator of this day (Heb 4:4; Mark 2:28).

There is no scripture in all of God’s Word that says that Jesus is a Sabbath only that he is the Lord of the Sabbath and he made it for all of mankind and commands us to keep it as a holy day as a memorial of creation (Mark 2:27-28; Gen 2:1-3; Ex 20:8-11)
.................

So by all this you are summing up the point of Hebrews 4 as being the unbelief that caused them not to enter His rest is unbelief in the Sabbath?

Which is the same warning for us today.

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. Hebrews 4:1

Am so understanding you your point?

That for us to enter His rest, we must believe in the Sabbath rather than Christ?

I never said I don't keep the Sabbath.

I said I don't believe in keeping the Sabbath according to the law of Moses which comes from Exodus, which you keep quoting.

I have showed you the New Testament scriptures that deal with the Sabbath, and have asked you to do the same.

All you keep doing is accusing me on sin and quoting Exodus as your proof.

Yet you claim you don't have to obey Exodus that says to put to death the violators of the Sabbath.

Pure Hypocrisy.

Hello JBL,

Once again, already answered with scripture. Please see the linked posts # 29; 38; .

If you disagree please address each post and the scrtiptures provided in each post and your reasons with the scriptures so everyone can see what you are disagreeing on and what is being discussed.

I think this will be better and make a more logical dicussion what do you think?

Lets share God's Word together in the Spirit of LOVE and Peace. What do you say friend?

I never said I don't keep the Sabbath. I said I don't believe in keeping the Sabbath according to the law of Moses which comes from Exodus, which you keep quoting.

Do you believe you should not MURDER? What about stealing? Lying? Committing Adultery, Dishonoring your Parents and the other Commandmetns of God as outlined in Exodus 20 of the Old Testament and repeated in NEW Testament scriptures?

All from the same LAW of GOD (10 commandments)

I asked you if you kept God's 4th commandment earlier and your reply was that you kept one day a week.

May I ask you plainly, do you keep the 7th DAY Sabbath which is God's Sabbath as stated in the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11) so I do not have a misunderstanding as to what you believe?

I have showed you the New Testament scriptures that deal with the Sabbath, and have asked you to do the same. All you keep doing is accusing me on sin and quoting Exodus as your proof. Yet you claim you don't have to obey Exodus that says to put to death the violators of the Sabbath. Pure Hypocrisy.JLB

I am not accusing you of SIN or anything. I am only sharing God's Word with you. Why do you feel accused of SIN? If you feel accused of SIN it is between you and God. The NEW Testament scriptures that teach about the Sabbath have already been posted in posts # 2; 28; 46; 53; 63 Forever; but you ignored them or did not see them.

What maybe helpful is if we look to the Word of God to see what God's Word says SIN is......

Lets start here and let God's Word define SIN ...........

James 2
10,
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW

James is pretty clear if we brake ANY of God's Law (10 commandments) then we are a TRANSGRESSOR of God's LAW

Links to...........

Romans 7
7
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known SIN, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Well here we have Paul in agreement with James and John also telling us that SIN is breaking God's commandments and uses the 10th commandment as an example of breaking any of God's LAW (10 commandments) = SIN (Exodus 20:17)

links to...........

1 John 3
4
Whosoever commits SIN transgresses also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law.
John is in agreement with James and states that if we TRANSGRESS God's LAW then we commit SIN because SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW.

So it is very clear that SIN is breaking ANY of God's LAW (10 commandments)

Links to............

Romans 3
20
, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.

So it is unanamous James, Paul and John all agree that SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 Commandments.

Now that we have God's definition of SIN being BRAKING God's LAW (10 commandments)

It is very clear from the Word of God that James, John and Paul all agree that SIN is the transgression or BREAKING ANY of the 10 commandments.

.........................

THE 7TH DAY OF THE CREATION WEEK BLESSED AND MADE FOR MANKIND - 4TH COMMANDMENT PART 6

Let's look at the creation week and the origin of the 4th commandment from God's LAW (10 commandments)

Genesis 2
1,
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2, And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made.
3, And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

RESTED H7673 שָׁבַת shabath (shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion.
{used in many implied relations (causative, figurative or specific)}[a primitive root]KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep Sabbath, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

Some points to note from the scriptures...............

v1 God completed creation in 6 days and RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v2 God RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v3 God SET APART the 7TH DAY and made THE 7TH DAY a HOLY DAY
v2 The 7TH DAY is part of the FINISHED WORK of the CREATION WEEK

Let's now look at God's 4th commandment............

SABBATH H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath (shab-bawth') n-e. 1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest.[intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) Sabbath. Root(s): H7673

Now who did God make the 7th day a Holy day for? Is he making that day a Holy day for himself? Of course NOT God is already Holy. He has made the day for MANKIND as a HOLY DAY.

Let’s see what Jesus says…………

Mark 2
27,
And he said unto them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the Sabbath.

The Sabbath was made for WHO? The Sabbath was made for MAN. So here we have the God of creation telling us why the 7th Day was made a Holy day. It was made for MANKIND

STRONGS Greek MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n.
1. (literally) man†-visage (i.e. a man-faced being, a man who has visibly come of age).
2. (concretely, in Hebrew) a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). 3. (generically, in English) a human being. 4. (indefinitely) a certain man (i.e. someone).
[from G435 and ops “the countenance” (from G3700)] KJV: certain, man Root(s): G435, G3700

So the Sabbath was made for Human beings; clay beings (we are made out of the dust); male and female

So God made the 7th day of the week a HOLY day and blessed it for MAN this now ties in very nicely with the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11)

God says that it is a specific day which is the 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK that he has made to be a HOLY DAY. Jesus says it was made Holy in the creation week for mankind. All scriptures connect and are in harmony. Genesis where God made the Day a HOLY DAY; God’s 4th commandment to His people that says to REMEMBER the Sabbath day to KEEP it a HOLY DAY and Jesus stating that the Sabbath was made for MANKIND (Human beings; male and female).

Now if God made the Sabbath for mankind then obviously Adam and Eve had the Sabbath the GREEK Word for MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n. is a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). There is only two people made out of clay (dust) and that is Adam and Eve.

............

LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF GOD’S LAW

Can you separate God’s Law of love from the 10 commandments?

Let's have a look................................................

What does Jesus say when he talk about the commandments. Jesus is quoting from Old testament scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18.................

Matthew 22
36,
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Let's get clearer......................................................

Matthew 19
16,
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17, And he said unto him, Why call thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF
20,
The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. <Jesus showed him that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving riches more than God>

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James................................................................

James 2
8,
If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL.
11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW.
12,
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten.

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word...........................

Romans 13
8, Owe no man anything, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, God’s Law of Love is God's 10 commandments. It is only through Faith that works by love that anyone can walk in the Spirit which produces the fruit of obedience because love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in those that walk by faith and not by sight.

Now let's look at the CONTEXT of the scripture you quoted from 1 John 3:22. Lovely scripture by the way.

1 John 3:22
23,
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as he gave us commandment.

Now as we have seen above God's LAW (10 commandments) through LOVE is the fulfillment of God's LAW who have FAITH. Now is that the same for this scripture here in John?

Let's look at the CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23...............

1 John 3
3,
And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4,
Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5,
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8,
He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:
whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
11,
For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12, Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
15, Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

So it looks like Jesus, James, Paul and John all agree together so it is unanimous that God's Law (10 commandments) are all tied to LOVE which is the power of God unto salvation through Faith. The FRUIT of FAITH is OBEDIENCE and the fulfilling of God's LAW in the hearts of those who walk by FAITH in the SPIRIT (Romans 8:1-4)

So my friend the FRUIT of FAITH is OBEDIENCE to God's LAW (10 commandments) that works by LOVE to those who walk in God's Spirit (Romans 8:1-4).

10 God is not willing that any should perish but that everyone should come to repentance and turn away from sin to follow God’s 10 commandments because those that do not will receive the judgements of God (2 Pet 3:5-14)

Who is teaching to turn away from God's Commandments? Romans 3:31 says, "we do not void the law because we have faith, but instead, We uphold the law,". Do you understand what that means?

Do you believe you should not MURDER? What about stealing? Lying? Committing Adultery, Dishonoring your Parents and the other Commandmetns of God as outlined in Exodus 20 of the Old Testament and repeated in NEW Testament scriptures?

Why are you rehashing the things we have agreed upon.

I have already stated that we are to keep the commandments.

I just don't believe we are to keep the Sabbath according to Moses law as I have explained over and over.

I have given you the scriptures from the New Testament that deal with observing one day above another as well as Sabbaths and feast days.

No longer are we under the law of Moses in which we are obligated to put people to death for picking up sticks on Saturday to make a fire.

May I ask you plainly, do you keep the 7th DAY Sabbath which is God's Sabbath as stated in the 10 commandments (Exodus 20:8-11) so I do not have a misunderstanding as to what you believe?

I have answered this over and over again.

I have given you the New Testament scriptures that deal with this subject and asked you to give me your New Testament scriptures that command us to keep the Sabbath according to the law of Moses.

Please stop trolling me about this subject.

Please show me the New Testament scriptures that command us to keep the Sabbath according to Moses Law, or that we have to gather to worship on only a specific day because that is esteemed above another.

So by all this you are summing up the point of Hebrews 4 as being the unbelief that caused them not to enter His rest is unbelief in the Sabbath?

Which is the same warning for us today.

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. Hebrews 4:1

Am so understanding you your point?

That for us to enter His rest, we must believe in the Sabbath rather than Christ?
