Blaming God for not putting sugar in the lemon to make it sweet is kinda lazy, isn't it. He expects us to do some of the work for our happiness.

It seems as though every time I go to put the sugar into the lemonade, providence smacks the sugar out of my hand and smashes the pitcher. So why bother making lemonade in the first place?

I think it's time to look at the big picture.

Mary K. Baxter describes one of the lost souls she saw in Hell. A woman lost her leg to cancer. She blamed God for her misery, and her hatred carried her soul to the everlasting torment when her life on earth ended.

Do you want to end up like her?

I could create a few 10 minutes in hell stories for the money too. That's what I think about Baxter

I do and it backfires like clockwork. It's almost as if there's a God playing a cruel joke.

I didn't make the choice to birth me into the environments that killed me inside.

You probably did make the choice to be born where you were. Or at least agreed to it...

Scripture says He knew us before we were in the womb. So what do you think you stood there and talked to Him about...?

You chose these circumstances. And were assured that Jesus would be with you...

We obviously have our memory restrained from remembering that. Yes its tough here. But Jesus said He will not put uppn us more than we can bear...

Why dont you believe that?
Not praying enough?
Not studyi g His word?
Not obeying?

Did you ever ask forgiveness and give your life to Him? I'm guessing yes you did...because your being spiritually attacked with these things...

So these things are prolly tests for you. Your making wrong choices. Befriending demons because of a misunderstanding? Scripture says resist the enemy and he will flee...

Befriending them is not resisting them brother. You think God is far away? Wrong. He's still there, you left Him. Go back brother. Ask for help, you wont be able to do it alone. Put the ball in the Lords court ..He will NOT fail you.

If you dont start obeying then He cant help you. He must be invited and called upon. A choice made by you.

Why bother making it alone? Do you know how many times that I've called on the Lord to help me with stupid stuff?!

I don't know either, a lot of times! But you know what? He helps Edward with stupid stuff, lol!

You want to hear some of the stories about the stupid stuff I have asked for help with...and He delivered!?

Brother, I was listening to this before work and realized he speaks of some of the same things thats troubling you.

Well, I don't believe that we agreed to anything before we were born, but I do believe that the Lord makes it a lot easier to trust Him than a lot of people believe. The devil is the one who makes it difficult.

Well you know the verse that says, He knew us before we were in the womb, right?

Think about that for a minute...if He knew us, then we talked. Make sense?

So if, before we were in the womb, we talked to Jesus...Well I wonder what we talked about?

If we were about to go into the womb, which makes sense...then its a good guess that we touched on the subject...

That's how God rolls! He is all kinds of cool, wont put more on us than we can bear, gives us the desires of our heart, loves us beyond measure...then He is the kind if God that would have let us choose...

I'd bet anybody one heavenly dollar that it is truth that we chose. We can settle up later when we find out for sure...:wink

I don't think that in order for God to know us before we were in the womb necessarily means we spoke to Him, I just think that it means He always knew our future and had a plan for us long before we were even conceived. I might like and accept myself for who I am, but I highly doubt that I would have asked if I could be born with learning disabilities if I really had a say in the matter.

Why not? If I...knew you before I moved back to ohio...would that mean that we prolly had talked before that or not?

Of course. That's what it has to mean.

I don't know about your circumstances, but maybe it was the best choice at the time? If our memory is being restrained from us...(it prolly is, there's examples in scripture where this was done!) then there's a lot that we could not be remembering now.

If that seems too far fetched to grasp, then at least answer me this...if you could have had a choice, would that have been a good thing?

Yes. Obviously you don't understand how much torment I had to endure in school because of my "special needs." :sad

Thought so. Ok, so knowing Jesus as you do and how much He loves you...how can you be so sure that He didn't give you a choice? In the very least, He knew how it would be for you beforehand and that you would want a choice...

Sometimes things are not what they seem at first. What may first seem mean in a way might not be after all...

For example, when Adam & Eve fell...God set an armed Cherubim to guard the tree of life from us...(wasn't that mean of Him?)

It was a blessing. We were in a fallen and corrupt state. God knew that if we ate from the tree of life then...that we would forever be trapped in our sinful state. .So even if seemed mean, it really wasn't.

It will be that way with you too, Sister. Scripture says that the mind of HeisRisen can not comprehend the goodness that He has in store for you! It'll be worth it to you.

Being in thick of it as we are now, it's sometimes hard to see these things. But stand on His word because He don't lie.

Don't get me wrong, I know that He is good, He is the truth, and the way, and the life, but I still don't get why I would choose to be born like this when deep down inside of me I have always wished that I had been born like everyone else.:sad I probably would be out of my parents' home by now with a steady job and a license if I was.

Hey Essenaut I'm not going to judge you or anything because I completely understand where you're coming from. But I just want to say that everything passes at some point and gets better. God says to trust him and lean not on your own understanding. I know you will find peace at some point. But that doesn't mean that it will be soon. It can be a long time from now but at some point in time you will find the peace that you are looking for. God bless you Essenaut :)
