I'm a part of a Ministry in India and they do go through so much persecution even some to a martyr's death. They will build a Church and soon it is burned down and the Pastor either beaten or killed. They travel by foot through many jungles to find the hidden villages to take the Gospel to and at times are ambushed along the way. Here in America we have not seen this yet, but to know it will come.

Amen.

You would do well to read and understand Zechariah 14, this has NOT been fulfilled yet, and will most certainly happen in the future.

Amen. :salute

Zechariah 14 is what Jesus was teaching His disciples in the Olivet Discourse.

Once again as seen below, those that receive the mark will do so "Willfully", they will not be forced, they will be deceived by the false prophet and false miracles.

Sorta like a big Benny Hinn phony miracles crusade, with a firework show.

Once you read and understand the "Two Witnesses" in Revelation 11, then you will see clearly that these two will control the tribulation as Moses, and Aaron did against Pharoh of Egypt.

Revelation 11:4-6KJV
4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

The script you present, is Tim La Haye's
Left Behind Hollywood movie series "Fictional"

Mark you don't mention the "Two Witnesses" all plagues as often as they will, these two prophets will torment the world, you don't say a word, "Why"?

Mark do you have Revelation Chapter 11 in your bible?

In Love

Revelation 19:20KJV
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

I did not say anyone would be forced to take the mark. However anyone who does not take the mark will have a hard time being able to live a normal life. because with out the mark they will not be able to buy anything, food, housing, or have any source of income. this makes the mark mandatory. Also note that those without the mark will be labeled as criminals.

During the time of the son of perdition taking his seat in Jerusalem, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, the whole world will have fallen into total chaos from all the destruction here on earth of God's great wrath during the first six trumpets sounding that will have destroyed much of the worlds resources. Many will be looking for a Savior type to save them and their families and provide safety, provision and shelter and this is what the beast out of the earth with all deceitfulness will promise if all will bow down and receive this mans mark, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6, Rev 13:18. When this fourth kingdom is destroyed the people of the earth that are none of Christ's and have taken the mark of this beast will bewail her destruction, Rev 18.

The NWO will come to fruition at the sounding of the seventh trumpet as it is the fourth beast that will be a revived fourth kingdom that will devour the whole world and break it in pieces as all will be made to bow down and worship this beast out of the earth and forced to take it's mark. This is the same beast that came against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel Chapter 3 that tried to force them to bow down and worship the image of the beast. And he (the son of perdition who comes out of this fourth kingdom) shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out (oppress) the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time, (3 1/2 years), Daniel chapter 3, 7; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Rev 13. Those that take the mark will have sealed their fate as their names are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life as when judgment comes they will be cast into the lake of fire, Rev 20; 14:12-20. Many who have great faith and patience will be beheaded for not bowing down to worship this beast and take its mark if they did not heed the warning Jesus gave in Matthew 24:15-18.

This will be a time of a great faith and patience in Christ as we trust Him to take care of our needs during this time of the end of days and also what happens to those who take the mark of this man.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Rev 14: 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

I did not say anyone would be forced to take the mark. However anyone who does not take the mark will have a hard time being able to live a normal life. because with out the mark they will not be able to buy anything, food, housing, or have any source of income. this makes the mark mandatory. You disregard the protection of the "Sealed Believer", in Rev 9:2-5 below Why?

You disregard God's power being given to the "Two Witnesses" in all plagues, Why?

Revelation 9:2-5KJV
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

The Two Witnesses will be representing the Lord Jesus Christ, and "All Plagues" on earth, as the sealed believe is protected.

Revelation 11:3-6KJV
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

God gives a clear "Shout To The Believer"!

Open Your Ears, You Are Protected, Just As The Two Witnesses Are Protected, If They Try To Harm The Believer, They Will Be Harmed.

"Here Is The Patience And The Faith Of The Saints"

Revelation 13:9-10KJV
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Rev 11:1-2

This temple is not a literal temple that John is to measure as there never will be a third one built as the temple mount will never be given back to the Jews and here is the reason why. Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times all because Israel never repented of their sin of idolatry when they were allowed back into their land again in 538 BC after their seventy year Babylonian exile and the land fell under the leader of the Roman Empire that still has diplomatic ties with Jerusalem today.

When the second temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Romans other Roman temples were built there and destroyed during various revolts up to the fourth century. From the fourth century the temple mount laid undeveloped until the Muslim Siege of Jerusalem in 637 CE. Between 689-691 CE the Muslims built the Dome of the Rock which stands today, but now under renovations that have to do with the prophecy of the son of perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4 and the great falling away before the return of Jesus.

John was to measure the Spiritual temple of God as being those who are truly in Christ through the Spiritual rebirth that worship Him in all truths, John 3:3-7, which make up the temple of God as being the body of Christ. The symbolic here represents God separating and protecting His people. The temple of God is no longer made by hand since the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom, Matthew 27:50, 51; Acts 7:48-51. The temple of God is within man that has the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that keeps himself undefiled before the Lord, Matthew 27:51; Mark 7:15-23; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17.

The outer court represents that of the control the Gentiles will once again have over the Holy city as they take full control over Jerusalem and trampled it for the last three and a half years of the seven years tribulation period. The first three and a half years begin with the opening of the seventh seal and the last three and a half beginning with the seventh trumpet as this explains the seven year tribulation that Jesus mentions in Matthew 24:21 as being the worst tribulation there has ever been nor will ever be again.

During this time once again the Roman Empire will take control of the temple mount in Jerusalem as a New World Order is even now being set up that will be one single world government of economic, political and religious power. They will bring back the sacrifices in the last part of the three and a half years or at the end of Daniels seventy week vision in Daniel chapter 9.

This sacrifice they make is not the sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, but will be a sacrifice in that of persecuting Christians to death as they refuse to bow down to this Nebuchadnezzar type system. It’s like that of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in Daniel Chapter 3 as they refused to bow down and worship the idols of Baal and God rescued them from the fire. The fulfillment of the times of the Gentile is that of the Gentiles that will not repent as they fulfill the prophecy of the beast and the false prophet that are thrown into the lake of fire with Satan at Gods final judgment.

Rev 11:3-4

Zechariah 4:1-6; 4:11-14 explains that these two witnesses are the word of God in all power and might and the Holy Spirit which is the oil that is poured out on those who God anoints with His Holy Spirit. There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit that are one and three that bear witness in earth as being the Holy Spirit, the word and the blood of Jesus and these three agree in one, 1 John 5:7, 8. Only God can give power to act on His word as the Holy Spirit and Jesus bare witness to Gods power and authority especially through signs and wonders.

God exercises His power and authority through those of His great commission of Matthew 28:18-20 who are sealed by the Holy Spirit, 2 Corinthians 1:22, who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. The sackcloth represents the anguish of Gods servants as they remain humbled before the Lord while baring witness to Gods wrath on the unrighteous as these witnesses go forth continuing to preach to the nations.

Zechariah speaks of two olive trees, but only one candlestick in the Old Testament. In this study we read there are two candlesticks. The two olive trees are the two anointed ones as being the two witnesses that are the Holy Spirit whom discerns and confirms the word of God in us by teaching us all truths, John 14:26, and Jesus being the light that shines in darkness as being the word made flesh to walk amongst us, John 1:1-5.

John is given the understanding that the two witnesses are in comparison to the two candlesticks and two olive trees, which if you read Zechariah Chapter 4 it explains that the golden candlestick is God. The seven lamps with the seven pipes that holds the oil (anointing) is that of the seven Spirits of God given to His Church: wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, reverence, might and Spirit of the Lord, Isaiah 11:2.

The two olive trees are to groups of people. One group being natural Israel (Old Testament) as a remnant according to the election of grace have been saved as in the 144,000 taken from the twelve tribes of Israel that remained faithful to God up to a thousand generations thereafter that remain faithful, 1 Chronicles 16:13-17. The other being Gentiles (New Testament) grafted into the branch by that same grace of God that have been washed in the blood of the Lamb and sealed by His Holy Spirit, John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Romans Chapter 11. The two witnesses have always been those who have stood by God and His law in the Old Testament and those who stand by God and Jesus under the dispensation of grace in the New Testament. Jews were only sent to preach to the lost sheep of Israel and Paul was sent to preach to the Gentiles, Matthew 10:5-7; Acts 22:21, so will it be during the seventh trumpet sounding.

The "Two Witnesses" will be literal Prophets returned, I believe Enoch & Elijah who never saw death.

Revelation 11:3-15KJV
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Hebrews 9:27KJV
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

That is the common interpretation.

3 And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” 4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. Revelation 11:3-5

The book of Revelation uses the Old Testament scriptures as a "key" to understanding, or "decoding" the language used, since at the time, there were no such New Testament scriptures written.

Now the angel who talked with me came back and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep. 2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” So I said, “I am looking, and there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. 3 Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.” 4 So I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
5 Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, my lord.”

11 Then I answered and said to him, “What are these two olive trees—at the right of the lampstand and at its left?” 12 And I further answered and said to him, “What are these two olive branches that drip [c]into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?”13 Then he answered me and said, “Do you not know what these are?”
And I said, “No, my lord.”14 So he said, “These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”
Zechariah 4:1-5, 11-14

  • These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth.
  • These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth.”

These two witnesses, are appointed to be the Lord, and stay with Him as close trusted companions.

  • These two witnesses are represented in the Temple King Solomon built.
23 Inside the inner sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high. 1 Kings 6:23

  • They are anointed ones, assigned to the Anointed One.

These two witnesses, personally "witnessed" the resurrection of Jesus Christ, from within the Tomb.

9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. 12 And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. 13 Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” John 20:9-13

These have power to bring fire down upon ungodly people.

Then the Lord appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. 2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, 3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. 4 Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. 5 And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”They said, “Do as you have said.” Genesis 18:1-5

The Lord and these two angels who appeared as men came to Abraham.

Later were learn that these two men with the Lord were angels sent to investigate Sodom and Gomorrah, who eventually destroyed the city by fire.

It is interesting to note that the "men" of Sodom thought these angels were men, and were intending to rape them.

Genesis 19: The incident at Sodom

Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.

4 Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5 And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.”

12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take them out of this place! 13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.

21 And he said to him, “See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken. 22 Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. 23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar. 24 Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. 25 So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

This is someone else's view, that I ran across recently on You Tube.

Normally I don't share such things, but stick strictly to the scriptures, rather than someones commentary.

It thought it was interesting, so I thought to share it here.

Thanks , JLB

Please show me the scriptures where it states it will be Enoch and Elijah as I can't find them, thank you.
I believe early Church father Hippolytus of Rome had a good handle on it.

EarlyChristianWritings

Hippolyrus Of Rome 170-230AD, Treatise On Christ And Antichrist, Chapter 43

43. With respect, then, to the particular judgment in the torments that are to come upon it in the last times by the hand of the tyrants who shall arise then, the clearest statement has been given in these passages. But it becomes us further diligently to examine and set forth the period at which these things shall come to pass, and how the little horn shall spring up in their midst. For when the legs of iron have issued in the feet and toes, according to the similitude of the image and that of the terrible beast, as has been shown in the above, (then shall be the time) when the iron and the clay shall be mingled together. Now Daniel will set forth this subject to us. For he says, "And one week will make a covenant with many, and it shall be that in the midst (half) of the week my sacrifice and oblation shall cease." By one week, therefore, he meant the last week which is to be at the end of the whole world of which week the two prophets Enoch and Elias will take up the half. For they will preach 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth, proclaiming repentance to the people and to all the nations.

That is the common interpretation.

Can't be Angels of the Lord, they are "Eternal Beings" and Can't experience death as the two witnesses will be killed and lay dead in the street.

I asked for scripture, not some mans interpretation of what he believes. Do you have those scriptures I asked for as I would like to read them?

This is a very interesting. There are three different symbols, two olive trees, two lamps and two witnesses that point to literal people that will exist in the end of days. Cherubim could also be a reference for the three angels of Rev 14:6-12. It can also reference that of Jews who were only sent to preach to the lost sheep of Israel and Paul being sent to preach to the Gentiles, Matthew 10:5-7; Acts 22:21, so will it be during the seventh trumpet sounding. The Jews to the lost Jews and the Gentiles grafted into the branch to the lost Gentiles.

I asked for scripture, not some mans interpretation of what he believes. Do you have those scriptures I asked for as I would like to read them?
No scripture to support who they will be, just a human opinion.

However, As I have explained several times, your symbolic representation of Revelation chapter 11 is a bit much, as you have not presented a "Symbolic Representation" of the items below?

You have, earth, dead bodies, nation's watching dead bodies, a street, gifts being exchanged, earthquake, 7,000 dying?

Please explain that "Symbolically"?

Revelation 11:3-15KJV
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall
reign for ever and ever.

If it's just your opinion of who the two witnesses are then you need to say it's your opinion instead of stating that's what you believe as that is two separate things. Stating one or the other would help in the discussion.

I have given the symbolic and the literal many times throughout this thread with cross reference of OT to NT and history of the times and how history is about to repeat itself in the end of days. I would have hoped you would have taken the time to read the scriptures I gave and studied them for yourself. I only operate through the word of God for what has already been written, not some preachers traditional 1830's hand me down commentaries.
