Just reposting this thread, because the old one broke. I'm told threads here sometimes do that after so many pages. I guess I'll be locking the old one so no one posts there only to not be able to see their posts, then.
So, yeah.

I think it's a good idea to limit threads to a certain post count, then a second part is created. We've had a few threads in the mod forum break because they've had a few thousand replies in them, but again we've got the mod actions thread, with 8,000 replies and it hasn't broke, yet. Other sites get around this issue by limiting the number of posts within a specific thread. Some will limit it to 1000 comments, then a new thread is generated to keep the conversation going.
Maybe we could consider doing that here, hey Nick or Mike?

This is the most magnificient soul stirring rendition of Handel's Hallelujah
I have ever heard, it will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck /smile.
The conductor, the choir, and the orchestra all come together to create something quite beautiful here.
Here is the link, just in case the video does not embed for some reason.

The conductor is Myung-Whun Chung.
Cheers.
Did you hear of the city on the hill?
Said one old man to the other
It once shined bright and it would be shining still
But they all started turning on each other
You see, the poets thought the dancers were shallow
And the soldiers thought the poets were weak
And the elders saw the young ones as foolish
And the rich man never heard the poor man speak
And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds, to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill
Each one thought that they knew better
That they were different by design
Instead of standing strong together
They let their differences divide
And one by one, they ran away
With their made up minds, to leave it all behind
And the light began to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill
And the world is searching still
But it was the rhythm of the dancers
That gave the poets life
It was the spirit of the poets
That gave the soldiers strength to fight
It was the fire of the young ones
It was the wisdom of the old
It was the story of the poor man
That needed to be told
It is the rhythm of the dancers
That gives the poets life
It is the spirit of the poets
That gives the soldiers strength to fight
It is the fire of the young ones
It is the wisdom of the old
It is the story of the poor man
That's needing to be told
One by one, will we run away
With our made up minds to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill
One by one, will we run away
With our made up minds, to leave it all behind
As the light begins to fade, in the city on the hill
The city on the hill
Come home
And the Father's calling still
Come home
To the city on the hill
Come home
I will sing to the Lord
And I will lift my voice
For You have heard my cry
I will sing to the Lord
And I will lift my hands
For You have brought me out of the pit
For You have brought me out of the pit
And I'll sing glory, hallelujah
I lift Your name on high
And I'll sing holy, 'cause You're worthy
I'll praise You with the dance
Our faces were forgotten, the unrecognizable
It's a mystery in this paradox
In a time we were abandoned to a maze of miserable
But that time has been forever lost
We have been reborn
We were the bruised
We were the broken
We don't live in pieces anymore
We have won
We have overcome
Our scars have been made beautiful
We're the redeemed
This is who we are
Our afflictions overtaken
by the inexplicable
with a grace that takes the place of chains
Crimson cascading over the most unforgivable
Stealing all our sins away
We have been reborn
We were the bruised
We were the broken
We don't live in pieces anymore
We have won
We have overcome
Our scars have been made beautiful
We're the redeemed
This is who we are
We are rising above this gravity
We have been reborn
We were the bruised
We were the broken
We don't live in pieces anymore
We have won
We have overcome
Our scars have been made beautiful
We're the redeemed
This is who we are

Outlaws, by Disciple
Wasn't quite sure of the meaning behind this song at first, but then I looked up the verse reference given. Ad then it made perfect sense.
"12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."~Matthew 9:12-13
farouk This one is great, too. (And yes, I am listening to it currently.)
Don't know. The comments on the video make it sound like they were provided by Disciple. But I'd have to own a physical copy of one of their CDs complete with a list of the lyrics to know for sure.farouk This one is great, too. (And yes, I am listening to it currently.)
questdriven:
Very good; yes. I can see how the supplied Scripture references tie in; do you happen to know if the Scripture references have been supplied by Disciple or by whoever edited the video?
You know, this one would almost be soft rock, apart from the percussion, maybe.
Blessings.
