Not sure if there's passages that give more detailed information, but in case there's not...what kind of day do you think the Lord's Day will be? For some reason, I picture it as a really nice, warm, sunny day. Perfectly clear sky, no clouds (unless the Lord decides to ride down on some), no haziness at all. Probably a summer day. Warm, almost but not quite hot. What in Japanese would be called atatakai day.

Anyone else with a weather forecast?

What do you think the Lord's day will be?The rapture of the Church or the second coming?
I think it will be simultaneous (and I do understand they are two different things). Not absolute on the timing, this is just what I tend to work with.

I think of the Lord's day as the rapture.I think it will be like every other day with people going here and there and doing what they usually do.Then it will happen very, very fast
1 Corinthians 15:51-54 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Do you know how fast a twinkling of an eye is?
A twink is a reflected particle of light seen in the eye and thusly travels at the speed of light (983,571,056 feet per second)

Matthew 24
37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. (NKJV)

And for those on the opposite side of the planet, a winter's night?

There are some verses that give us a clue...

It will be cloudy
And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. (Mark 13:26 ESV)

It will be in the fall
Then two men will be in the field [harvesting]; one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding [newly harvested grain] at the mill; one will be taken and one left. (Matt. 24:4041 ESV)
There's a possibility of thunderstorms.
For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Matt. 24:27 ESV)

So it will be in the fall, there will be couds, and likely thunderstorms.

And for those on the opposite side of the planet, a winter's night?
Of course I thought of such factors, too, and am not sure how those things would play out. I guess I am asking each of you the kind of day you will personally see.

So it will be in the fall, there will be couds, and likely thunderstorms.

Those are interesting.

Dad must have been preaching on rapture... i remember being on the front steps to the church ..tossing an orange like kids do.. 'Daddy, when raptures comes and we go up which way do the people in Australia go?'

Many scriptures give detail of what happens before the great and terrible day of the Lord. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible Day of the Lord for one example as there is much more that will happen first as described in Matthew 24. The actual day of the Lords return will be that of the gathering of all people, dead and alive as Jesus separates the sheep from the goats and judgement will be passed for both. Good for those who are found written in the Lambs book of life, but devastating for those who are not found written in the Lambs book of life.
