The singular tract is to bring people to the event. it will be given out along with the dvd. This is done by handing it out door to door. The Gospel event will expound upon the tract. After the message, we will give out free Bibles with an invitation for a follow up seminar to be given. The...
I thought about doing the 3 tracts for handing out on the street. The purpose of this on singular tract is to give an overview and then expand it with a "Gospel Night." The tract would have the invitation on it. We are going to focus in on one area of Edmonton per "Gospel Night." So in the...
Thanks for the feedback. The particular audience is those who know something of Jesus but not the truth of Him. The context of scripture however is going to be detailed in a Gospel presentation. This tract is intended for those who want to know more and there will be an invitation on the...
Wow, seems like Americans are touchy about their mail then. I get all sorts of flyers and such in my mailbox. We just put up a notice if we don't want anything like that and we have different soicitation laws.
Perhaps the direct mail idea would be best then.
This would be an interesting way to do it. Probably until someone complains and shuts that possibility down. As with the cost, what is more important? Are the souls of the lost important or the overall cost of getting the tracts into their hands?
I have taken another evasive approach. It...
Hello all,
I believe it depends on the ministry and what the circumstances are. Paul wasn't always a tent maker. In Acts 6:4, it shows that the congregation of the disciples were supposed to be "Fully devoted." 1 Timothy 5:17-18 is about those who work hard in preaching and teaching. These...
What I think you are talking about sisterly and brotherly love. This then would only mean that you desire friendship and not anything sexually. I also think that the use in romance is unqualified. Romance is in the desire or to nurture love towards courting to marriage. Marriage denotes...
Mission / Vision
The Empty tomb ministry is for those who believe that Jesus Christ rose again after dying for our sins. Jesus' death, burial and resurrection are the foundational elements of faith. To believe this truly happened then you are saved by that faith and what Jesus...
I asked those questions because sometimes people don't even know what the english words they use mean.
Romantic means to court/date. Usually for the purpose of marriage but not in cases with the world. Western culture takes this to mean for purposes of growing intimately closer.
Now...
I have four questions before I can answer you directly. What is the meaning of romance to you? What is the definition of asexual to you and attraction for that matter? You seem to understand what the bible states about homosexuality, but how do you define it scripturally?
If you take...
The Gospel message will implement the scriptures qualified in the tract. The tract is for those who either have no bible or don't know what the scriptures say. So in fact the sermon will present the way you replied. First the statement then the scriptural reply and then expound it.
I pray...
The following tract is one that I wrote to be given out with a Dvd. On the tract it will have an invite to a Gospel presentation. The Dvd will have 3 messages of the Gospel:
1. Paul Washer "What is the Gospel" (10 min.)
2. Jonathan Sims "No Greater Love" (30 min.)
3. haven't settled on...
Hi all,
I watched the movie "Zeitgeist" and was sickened in its breadth of misnomers and untruths. The movie was quite hypocritical in the third part where it actually references the scripture. In the first part there is a chart that lines up all the similarities between Horus (Egytpian...
haha, I liked the dial reference but the theology is wrong. It was the shadow that was cast upon the staircase that Ahaz built and it acted like a dial. Ahaz was Hezekiah's father, and the 10 steps refer to the stairs not degrees. The miracle of course was that the sun went in the opposite...
To me this approach is somewhat shortsighted. If we were beaten every time we sinned, we would be perpetually bruised and broken. The "Spare the rod and Spoil the child" has been greatly abused in this manner. With Christ being the Great Shepherd, why does his "Rod" and "Staff" comfort us...
