I think the minimum age here is 21. I'd prefer to stay away from it, in any case. Because of health reasons (what they say about alcohol destroying your liver), I'd prefer not to get anywhere close to being drunk, and to avoid the appearance of evil because people tend to think Christians aren't supposed to drink. At the same time, I don't think it's necessarily wrong.
I find the Patristic writings to be a good source of Christian tradition, a good way to be aware of what early Christians believed. I reject the Protestant concept of sola scriptura, because I believe that tradition can complement scripture (especially when scripture can be interpreted falsely and lead some people astray).

2 Thessalonians 2:15 (NKJV): Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
Yeah, the history of Christianity is quite interesting, from Jesus to the disciples and the Seventy Apostles to the Early Church Fathers to modern theologians. Indeed, scripture is an important source of our faith.
No, I'm just interested in Orthodox Christianity, which was the Byzantine Empire's state religion.
I think you and I are on the same page regarding tattoos. Looks like there are those who disagree, which is fine, but I'm not much into debate these days--read your reply. Thanks :)
