Seriously though, that's A LOT of guns! But it does sound like he may have been a collector. And extreme collector for sure. But he lived in the Pacific Palisades and that is an area where most people have more money and more free time than they know what to do with. It's not unusual to walk into a house there and see multi-million dollar art collections and such things as that. (I used to work there for a time.) So why not guns if that's what floats his boat. It seems by the article he had no criminal record and the guns appeared (so far) to have been legally purchased.
