Did the temple age end when the curtain ripped or when the romans destroyed it?

Did the temple age end when the curtain ripped or when the romans destroyed it?
I think it was determined at the cross that the temple age would soon be of no effect, when the curtain was torn, but was not consummated (finished) until the temple was destroyed. Hebrews was written before the temple was destroyed, here is a teaching of what is coming.
Hebrews 8:13
In that He says, “A new covenant,†He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
I have the view, that God in His grace and mercy allowed for the older generation to die and for a period of time that would allow those under the old covenant to come to the new without just cutting them off immediately. Like the 40 yrs in the wilderness when they came out of Egypt. Time to be conformed.
By saying Hebrews was written before the Temple age
The old covenant became obsolete and began to grow old when The Lord spoke these words out of the mouth of Jeremiah, not when the writer of the book of Hebrews wrote about this.

No, I said that Hebrews was written before the temple was destroyed.

No, I didn't say anything about when it started to vanish away.

This is not a teaching of what is coming.
This is a teaching of what has come, The New Covenant.
The old was made obsolete by the words of Jeremiah, the old vanished away at the cross where the New began with the blood of Jesus Christ, the Blood of the New Covenant.

By temple age i mean the time period where, under divine instruction, they used this location to perform their animal sacrifices for atonement. That and absolutely nothing else.
@reba and deb. Can totally see the understanding behind the reasoning(or vice versa), as it does make sense and is in line with His almighty character.
I see it more as an irritation. Like a stop using it like that or im going to take it away scenario. We know from His own mouth that he knew what he was going to do to the temple. Of course just like everything else, the "why" is all opinion and cool to talk about. Id never try to imprint/impress that point of view on anyone of course, not knowing the mind of god n all that.
Thanks for letting me participate
Temple age to me is a simple way of stating a time frame....Folks can get all twisted about words.
From Solomon through 70 ad is my personal take on the use of the phrase temple age..... In my head we have the time in the wilderness with that is the time of the tabernacle...
temple age is just a couple words used to describe some time... When the Temple was in use. When was the temple no longer in use? history tell us it was destroyed in 70 AD ....I wasn't there so I don't know but we know it aint there today

Oh I see now what you are saying. Although, "is ready to vanish away"
However, I did state what I think about when the old was completely done away, as far as the temple and why.
We know that the temple continued until 70 AD.
And I do believe that the Lord in His grace allowed it to continue until then, for the reasons I stated.
John calls them LIARS! (AD 90!)
Whatever?
I totally agree I do not disagree with Paul..
... I do believe he is coming back for His bride/church/us .
To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second
Who in Jerusalem in 70 AD was eagerly waiting for Him?
I don't know is my most honest answer... I doubt the writing of The Revelation was as much a mystery to the folks 2000 years ago they IMO would have had a better understanding of the jargon /symbolism/etc we kinda know that because so much of it is taken from the OT
Always in the OT history when God messed with Israel He warned them ... This is one of those ya got to pick one statements
God used the Romans to destroy Jerusalem
God allowed it to 'just happen'
God could not stop the destruction.
Thank you I love my brothers in the Lord
If He came in 70 AD, then He won't be coming again.
That is the point. The Temple has nothing to do with it.

Except it is not that simple, because there is more than one way to define His coming, both first and second. Relatively is not just for physics, but just like in physics, it can seem counterintuitive at first.
Just chapter and verse please.
Not all those who date such, as the Scriptures, agree that 90AD is the timing...
