In the last days the Bible talks about a dominant city that is a major center of commerce that will be destroyed in one hour. Mystery Babylon The Great. The churches will tell you it is referring to the Vatican in Rome. To hold the view that this Babylon is referring to the Vatican, you basically ignore 98% of the Scriptures referring to it and hold to one verse that can be easily discredited because a misunderstanding of one term in one verse that can easily be clarified. That is how warped the whole Vatican theory is that most churches and prophecy 'gurus' preach today when it comes to Revelation chapters 17 and 18. Why? Why do they want the focus on somewhere else instead of where the Bible is really speaking of?

Consider this: The former prophets all warned of this coming Great Babylon. Let's look at what each one said about it:

Isaiah said:

1. Babylon would be noted for its architecture, buildings and skyline (Isaiah 13:22)

2. Is the lone super power of the world (Isaiah 47:5,8 )

3. Is the most respected and envied around the world and yet at the same time is hated by the world. (Isaiah 18:2)

4. Has a unique and remarkable beginning, different from other nations and has been awe-inspiring from it's conception. (Isaiah 18:2).

5. Babylon would the QUEEN AMONG THE NATIONS (Isa 47:5,7)

6. Babylon would be an END TIME GREAT NATION (Rev 17,18; Isa 13:6)

7. Babylon is called a lady, and has the symbol of the Lady (Isa 47:7-9). "LIBERTY" on our money, and sits in the New York Harbor.

8. Babylon is nation "peeled", or timbered, a land of open fields (Isa 18:2).

9. Babylon is land quartered by mighty rivers (Isa 18:2).

10. Babylon is a land that is measured out, and populated throughout (Isa 18:2).

11. Babylon destroys her own land, with pollution and waste (Isa 14:20, 18:2, 7).

12. Babylon is the leading INDUSTRIAL NATION OF THE WORLD

13. Babylon has a huge aviation program (Isa 14:13-14;

14. Babylon is a REPUBLIC or a DEMOCRACY, it is ruled by many counsels (Isa 47:13).

15. Babylon's governmental system breaks down (Isa 47:13).

16. Babylon is bogged down with deliberations and cannot govern properly (Isa 47:13).

17. Babylon's leaders use astrology, seers and mystics for guidance (Isa 47:13; Rev 18:2).

18. Babylon labored in the occult from her very inception (Isa 47:12).

19. Babylon is a nation of religious confusion (Isa 47:12-13).

20. THE KING OF BABYLON is called LUCIFER, the ANTICHRIST (Isa 14:4-6).

21. The King of Babylon will rule from THE GREAT CITY BABYLON (Isa 14:4-6; Rev 17: 18 ).

22. A world government entity will rise up to rule the world from BABYLON THE CITY

23. This entity will rise up and use the military power of Babylon the nation to RULE THE WORLD (Isa 14:4-6)

24.Babylon is a nation of higher education and learning (Isa47:10, implied throughout).

25. Babylon is a VIRGIN NATION, her lands untouched by major war (Isa 47:1).9. Babylon's enemy will lie on the opposite side of the world,over the poles (Isa 13:5)

26. The enemy of Babylon will be noted for her cruelty (Isa 13,14, Jer 50, 51, Rev 17, 18 ).

27. The people of Babylon would think they are God's elect and eternal (Isa 47:7-8, )

28. The nation Babylon dwells carelessly before the Lord (Isa 47:8 ).

29. Babylon becomes proud, haughty, and does not consider her end (Isa 47:7-8 ).

Jeremiah prophesied:

1. Babylon would be the center of a one world Luciferian religious movement (Jer 51:44)

3. Babylon would be the most powerful nation in the world (Isa 47, Jer 50, 51, Rev 18 ). USA

4. Babylon would be the HAMMER OF THE WHOLE EARTH (Jer 50:23; Rev 18:23). USA

5. Babylon would be the praise of the WHOLE EARTH (Jer 51:41). USA

6. Babylon is a land rich in mineral wealth (Jer 51:13).

7. Babylon is a the leading agricultural nation of the world (Jer 50, 51; Rev 18 ).

8. Babylon is the leading exporting nation in the world (Jer 51:13; Rev 18 ).

9. Babylon is the leading importing nation of the entire world.(Jer 50, 51; Rev 18 ).

10. Babylon is a nation filled with warehouses and granaries (Jer 50:26).

11. Babylon is the leading INDUSTRIAL NATION OF THE WORLD (Isa 13, 47, Jer 50, 51; Rev 18 ).

12. Babylon is noted for her horses (Jer 50:37). Think Kentucky

13. Babylon is noted for her cattle, sheep and other livestock (Jer 50:26, 27; Rev 18:13).

14. Babylon is noted for her fine flour and mill operations (Rev 18:13)

15. Babylon is a nation of farmers and harvests huge crops (Jer 50:16, 26, 27).28. Babylon has a huge aviation program (Isa 14:13-14; Jer 51:53; Hab 1:6-10).

16. Babylon's skies are filled with the whisper of aircraft wings (Isa 18:1; Jer 51:53).

17. Babylon has a huge space industry, has "mounted up to the heavens" (Jer 51:53).

18. Babylon fortifies her skies with a huge military aviation program (Jer 51:53).

19. Babylon is portrayed as a leading in high tech weapons and abilities (Jer 51:53; Hab 1:6-10; implied throughout).

20. Babylon is a coastal nation and sits upon MANY WATERS (Jer 51:13).

21. Babylon is nation filled with a "mingled" people (Jer 50:37).

22. Babylon is a SINGULAR NATION founded upon OUT OF MANY, ONE (Isa 13, 47, Jer 50, 51, Hab 1).

23. Babylon was born as a CHRISTIAN NATION (Jer 50:12).

24. Babylon turns upon its heritage and destroys it all in the end (Jer 50:11).

25. Babylon's Christian leaders lead their flock astray in prophecy and salvation (Jer 50:6; implied Rev 18:2).

26. Babylon's Christian leaders are "strangers" in the Lord Houses of Worship (Jer 51:51).

27. Babylon sets of detention centers for Jews and Christians and rounds them up for extermination (Jer 50:7, 33; 51:35, 49; Rev 17:6; 18:24).

28. Babylon has a mother nation that remains in existence from her birth to death (Jer 50: 12). (ENGLAND)

35. Babylon is a nation of CRAFTSMEN, experts in their trade (Jer 50, 51, Rev 18:22).

36. Babylon is a nation with a GREAT VOICE in world affairs (Jer 51:55)

37 .Babylon will be instrumental in the setting up of Israel in the Middle East, and is the home of God's people (Jer 50:47;51:45).

38. Babylon will have a major enemy to her north (Jer 50:3, 9, 41).

39. The enemy of Babylon will also have a huge aviation military machine (Jer 50:9, 14, Rev 18:8, 18 implied throughout).

40. Babylon will have all of her borders cut off, and there will be no way of escape (Jer 50:28; 51:32).

42. Babylon will have been a huge missionary nation for Jesus Christ (Jer 50:11; 51:7).

45. The people of Babylon would grow mad upon their idols (Jer 50:2, 38; Hab 2:18 ).

46. How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations! -Jeremiah 50:23

48. Babylon would have a huge seaport city within its borders (Rev 18:17). New York harbor is the biggest in theWorld.

49. The Great City Babylon is the home of a world government attempt (Rev 17:18 ). This can only be NEW YORK, where the United Nations sits.

50. Is considered intoxicating for it's high society lifestyle (Rev. 17:2, 18:3,23)

51. Is noted for its elegant and extravagant lifestyle (Rev. 18:14).

52. Is noted for being a city/nation of immigrants from all over the world (Rev. 18:15).

53. Is noted for a massive population (Rev. 18:15).

54. Is noted for its importation of drugs (Rev. 18:23).

55.Is the leading center of Commerce (Rev. 17:2)

56. Is the leading center of imports and consumption (Rev. 18:11)

57.Is a leading center of manufacturing (Rev. 18:22)

58. Is the center for world trade in gold, silver, copper, oil, precious gems, cloth, clothing, fashions, lumber, containers, household items, furniture, wine, livestock, transportation, health products, cosmetics, spices, marble, irony, and iron. (Rev. 18:11-13)

There is no other city or nation on earth that could fulfill these requirements other than the United States of America. There are some who hold to the view this passage is referring only to New York City. In fact, it refers to both NYC and the entire nation. The term "city" translated from the Greek means city or nation. In this instance, it refers to a nation led by its chief city, which is New York City. So in some instances it is talking about New York City, and in others the nation itself. And if you're not convinced, go back and read all these prophecies again about the last great nation on earth.

You might want to go over those verses for yourself geo, because the majority of those verse interpretations are a very... 'far reach', because taken out of context of the chapters where they occur. ANYONE can go into The Bible and pull out a lone verse by itself and make it 'seem' to say whatever you want.

The vast majority of Christians in the United States have been taught that America is simply not in Bible prophecy. No matter where one may turn, America is not there, either by name or by any form of code name either. Thus say the host of America's Christian clergy to their flock. The second thing they are told is that Babylon is NEVER TAUGHT ANYWHERE IN SCRIPTURE AS A NATION. Babylon is a SYSTEM, and most view it as a RELIGIOUS SYSTEM OF SOME SORT.

Prophecy said these views would surface at the time of end. It is the mark of apostasy to DENY YOUR IDENTITY, YOUR SIN, AND THE TIME OF YOUR VISITATION. In fact, that is the essence of all apostasy, THE REJECTION OF SCRIPTURE AS IT APPLIES TO A PERSON, COMMUNITY OR NATION. It is always SOMEONE ELSE, SOMEWHERE ELSE, AND AT SOME UNKNOWN "FUTURE TIME". Never is it NOW, US and OUR NATION.

God told the citizens of BABYLON THE GREAT, AMERICA, exactly what would happen in America, and pointed a finger directly at the CHRISTIAN SHEPHERDS. Why do you suppose that God would do that? Why would He pick a specific group and lay the blame right at their feet? Because it is GOD'S PEOPLE WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE ANTICHRIST NATION, THE NATION THAT SPAWNS ANTICHRIST. Remember that antichrist rises in DECEPTION. "My people (Christians) hath been LOST SHEEP (UNSAVED, UNREGENERATE - HELL BOUND):

The shepherds of God's people in Babylon America embrace a FALSE SALVATION GOSPEL (Matthew 7:21-23; 2 Peter 2:1-3), which leads MILLIONS into eternal ruin. Their salvation Gospel is an UTTERLY FALSE GOSPEL. It is "sugar-coated", and an ALL POSITIVE GOSPEL. That is what Jeremiah means when he says: "they have turned them AWAY on the MOUNTAINS; they have gone from MOUNTAIN TO HILL, they have FORGOTTEN THEIR RESTING PLACE."

God fights His wars IN THE VALLEY. True salvation lies IN THE VALLEY. If you refuse the VALLEY EXPERIENCE (THE NEGATIVE ASPECTS OF THE SALVATION DOCTRINE) you will never FIND YOUR RESTING PLACE. Jesus said you MUST PICK UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW HIM. Babylon's gospel of salvation HAS NO CROSS, NO DEATH OF SELF, AND THEREFORE NO TRUE LIFE. It is an utterly false salvation doctrine. IT SWEEPS THE VAST MAJORITY OF AMERICAN CHRISTIANS INTO ETERNAL HELLFIRE. That is why God says they ARE LOST SHEEP. They ARE lost, LOST FOREVER

Indeed, the false Christian clergy ARE STRANGERS and they hold forth a FALSE GOSPEL, that leads to their REPROACH AND LOSS at the judgment seat of Christ. They shall one and all BE ASHAMED, and now face ETERNAL RUIN FOR EVER AND EVER. This is the primary reason why AMERICAN CHRISTIANS reject that America is Babylon. They have been UTTERLY MISLEAD BY FALSE SHEPHERDS. It is part of prophecy. BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ONE OF THEM! You can extricate yourself from God's disfavor by SIMPLY ACCEPTING WHAT GOD SAYS AS FACT, and rejecting all the nonsense of these hell bound false leaders.

Stop to think about this; that TWO NATIONS must rise upon the earth, in a proper sequence, and they both must be present during an 80 year time span, do certain things, then it becomes a strict parameter. The events of nation take place over many years, and most nations are quite old!!

"Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: BEHOLD, THE HINDERMOST OF THE NATIONS shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert." (Jeremiah 50:12)

As we stated in our first article, this is one of the most exacting parameters God gives us to identify this last great NATIONAL ENTITY called Babylon the Great. First, she must have a MOTHER THAT BORE HER. Secondly, this mother obviously MUST PRECEDE HER, LIVE DURING HER ENTIRE LIFE, AND WATCH HER BURN, AND SURVIVE HER DURING THE LAST PART OF THE TRIBULATION. That gives us several clues. First, the mother could not be a close neighbor, for she too would burn with Babylon. Secondly, we are now speaking of TWO NATIONS, that MUST LIVE DURING THE SAME TIME PERIOD. How easy is that to accomplish?

The mother MUST BE the prime mover in the establishment of Babylon. Babylon then, must be a direct offspring. The people who first established this nation will be from this "mother country". Third, this relationship must remain THROUGHOUT the life of Babylon, with the "mother" being very close to Babylon itself in terms of CONTROL AND FUNCTION.

These parameters are crucial, and very strict. As was asked previously, who is the mother of Iraq? Who is the mother of the EC, which is DISQUALIFIED ANYWAY BECAUSE THE EC IS AN ASSEMBLY OF NATIONS, not ONE national entity from its birth!? Who is the mother of Rome, which is a CITY, and NOT A LARGE NATIONAL ENTITY. Who is the mother of Russia? Who is the mother of Israel or Jerusalem? These nations or cities have all been advanced at one time or another as being "Babylon".

The second aspect is that Babylon THE NATION is referred to as the HINDERMOST OF THE NATIONS. Jeremiah is looking down the tunnel of time, and is saying that BABYLON will be the LAST AND THE GREATEST NATION TO RISE IN THIS AGE. Of the great nations of the world today, who is the youngest? Everyone knows that America is THE YOUNGEST OF THE POWERFUL NATIONS, and is also THE GREATEST NATION TO EVER GRACE PLANET EARTH. It is also the HINDERMOST in the perspective of THE LAST RISE OF BABYLON!!

Does Rome fulfill this parameter? Does Iraq? Russia? Does the EC, which is disqualified because it is an ALLIANCE OF NATIONS? None of them do; they do not come close!! Why cannot people simply accept what God says? There are only TWO NATIONS IN THE WORLD that fulfill this parameter! ONLY TWO!! And they fit it like a GLOVE. This one verse ALONE would identify who Babylon is!! ENGLAND AND AMERICA are the ONLY NATIONS IN THE WORLD TO FULFILL THIS PROPHECY TO THE EXACT LETTER.

You see, it is not a matter of EVIDENCE, it is a matter of REFUSING THE EVIDENCE GIVEN. It is a matter of personal bias, of prejudice, of refusal to accept God and His Word. Scripture is not written in a complex manner. It is written in a manner that even a ten year old can understand, IF THE HEART IS RIGHT. God says HE WILL CHOOSE OUR DELUSIONS. Why would God, the holder of ALL TRUTH, who wants us to KNOW ALL TRUTH, turn right around and say he will PICK OUR DELUSIONS? Only one reason: THE HEART IS NOT RIGHT!!

I can understand why people think it is the vatican, rome is seated on seven hills, the harlot sits on seven hills, drunk on the blood of the saints, the millions killed during the spanish inquisitions, some say as many as 20 million, who would not come under the vatican, or the catholic church.
God tells his people to come out of her,and not be a partaker in her sins, many love and serve God in the catholic church.
though the seven hills also speaks of seven heads and ten horns, the re establisment of the roman empire, the E.U common market.

America is the only nation that fits ALL the criteria in these and other scriptures. America fits economically, allegorically, geographically, and literally, Lady Liberty is the Daughter of Babylon.

If America is the endtime Babylon of Revelation, then why is God going to send His "two witnesses" to Jerusalem in the last days, per Revelation 11? And, why is Christ returning to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem where He ascended to Heaven from? (per Acts 1 and Zech.14)

Where was Christ crucified? Outside the walls of New York? Outside the walls of Rome? No. Outside the walls of Jerusalem.

And what city did Christ mention in relation to the killing of God's prophets?

This is why Jerusalem has been left desolate since, and without a king. Per all that, the Revelation Babylon is specifically about a certain 'city'. It's pointing to Jerusalem.

One can certainly take one verse out of The Bible and make it seem to fit anything. But groups of Scripture written together about a subject will not.

The area of Babylon Isaiah was speaking of exists in the area of modern day Iraq, a desert land. This prophecy was about God destroying it, which He did. Sadam tried to rebuild it. It is still basically uninhabitable today. Though ancient Babylon was glorious in its buildings and culture, that was destroyed. Sadam did not succeed in rebuilding it either. So the only comparison to America would be building structures and advanced culture. Problem is, America is not the only nation on earth with beautiful arcitechture and an advanced culture. Some of the biggest skyscrapers are now in Asia today. And culturally, America is falling behind the rest of the world. Big buildings and culture are very loose comparisons.

2. Is the lone super power of the world (Isaiah 47:5,8 )

In connection with Rev.18, the harlot city says she is no widow, and sits a queen. At the end of Rev.17 we are told that harlot is a "great city". It points to Jerusalem in Rev.17-18. That's where the "abomination of desolation" is to be setup. So how's this about America being a 'lone superpower'? It's clear the original author hasn't looked at Communist Russia or Red China today, nor grasps the concept of the U.N. Security Counsel of 5 member nations (I think still five?).

3. Is the most respected and envied around the world and yet at the same time is hated by the world. (Isaiah 18:2)

Isa 18:1-7
1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

I do personally believe that above is about the United States of America, whose land is divided ("spoiled") by the Missisippi River, whose people are tall and independent, a nation to be feared, and who sent ambassadors by sea in steamships.

3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
4 For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
5 For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

And these above verses do hint there will be a pruning among God's people in the land. But notice the last verse...

7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion.(KJV)

That last verse is for after... Christ's coming. Notice it's THOSE SAME PEOPLE (after the pruning), that will bring "the present unto the LORD of hosts", even "to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts, the mount Zion." THAT's about Christ's Salvation to His people who stay on Him. It doesn't link to end time Babylon of Revelation. The negative is only about a pruning God will do among His people who believe on Him through His Son. Who today in Christian America won't welcome that pruning away of false ones that have crept in among us? That doesn't mean America represents Babylon because of that pruning need. You don't dig up the whole tree when you prune its unfruitful branches.

4. Has a unique and remarkable beginning, different from other nations and has been awe-inspiring from it's conception. (Isaiah 18:2).

I fail to see a connection with that description and the Babylon description of Revelation.

5. Babylon would the QUEEN AMONG THE NATIONS (Isa 47:5,7)

That was just covered above in Isa.47, which is about historical Babylon compared to Revelation Babylon. But in Revelation Babylon, we're told it represents a "great city", not a nation like America which is a false prophetic association.

6. Babylon would be an END TIME GREAT NATION (Rev 17,18; Isa 13:6)

Isa 13:6
6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Rev.17-18, again, reveals endtime Babylon is a "great city", not a great nation. And the Isa.13:6 verse is about the day of the LORD, which involves the battles of Armageddon and Hamongog. Those battles are about the enemies of Christ coming upon God's People in the last days, specifically "the mountains of Israel" per Ezekiel 38. We're told what nations that great army out of the north quarters is made up of, and there's NO mention of ANY western Christian nation in it, nor the people of Israel. To think America is Babylon and imply the United States will come upon Israel would be like God's people going up against theirselves. It will be the western Christian nations that will stand with Israel against that Gog and Magog army of Ezek.38. So using that Isa.13:6 verse to imply America as Babylon is impossible.

7. Babylon is called a lady, and has the symbol of the Lady (Isa 47:7-9). "LIBERTY" on our money, and sits in the New York Harbor.

7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.
8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:
9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

That's still about the description of the harlot in Rev. where she declares she is no widow, and sits a queen. The "lady" idea is about royalty, not the statue of liberty. Maybe some havn't noticed, we don't have a king and queen in the United States of America. On a deeper note, the widowhood and queen metaphors in Revelation apply to spiritual worship, being married to the wrong king, not waiting on Christ our KING for the wedding. It's about the married woman with many children vs. the barren woman who's womb never gave suck. And our Lord Jesus said that to metaphor to the women in Jerusalem who wept when He was on the way to be crucified (Luke 23; Isa.54). It ties back to the deceived in endtimes Jerusalem, not America.

8. Babylon is nation "peeled", or timbered, a land of open fields (Isa 18:2).

The meaning is about independence, or obstinate. I agree Isa.18 is about the U.S., but Isa.18 is not about Babylon at all. And can anyone else see how the OP setup these verses from the same Scripture to keep repeating, so as to look like there's a lot of Scripture on this matter? That's kind of like a 'leaven' working isn't it? That's one of the things our Lord Jesus warned us about.

9. Babylon is land quartered by mighty rivers (Isa 18:2).

Here's more leaven, covered already above. The word "spoiled" in Isa.18:2 actually means 'divided'.

10. Babylon is a land that is measured out, and populated throughout (Isa 18:2).

More leaven padding again. Wouldn't it have been more logical to just quote the whole Isa.18:2 verse, and cover what's in it, instead of breaking all this up into separate lines? It wouldn't be as effective in trying to show there's a lot of Scripture proof for America as Babylon, now would it? That working in itself shows dishonesty and an intent to deceive.

11. Babylon destroys her own land, with pollution and waste (Isa 14:20, 18:2, 7).

Here's the verses...

20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

That Isa.14:20 is included in a "proverb" our Lord mentions starting at Isa.14:4. It's about Satan, not America. In Isa.14:12, God even names "Lucifer" there. So far then, these misused quotes would fit someone of radical Islam coming up with all this to try and fool fellow-believers on Christ into thinking America is "the great Satan".

It says the "rivers have spoiled". The KJV translators simply translated a Hebrew word which can mean 'divided', to "spoiled". And what about many of the lands in the middleast which Islam inhabits that are 'naturally' spoiled? Why would God give some peoples already spoiled lands, while giving western Christians lush green lands to bear much fruit?

God was quoting something Lucifer said, of how Lucifer wants to be God, and exalt himself above God, even to sit in God's Throne. We should really be getting the message by now that the original author of these sheet of quotes is a major DECEIVER; and most likely not even a Christian.

14. Babylon is a REPUBLIC or a DEMOCRACY, it is ruled by many counsels (Isa 47:13).

Historical Babylon was ruled by a king, the king of Babylon. And that king ruled over the other kingdoms under its control. America has no king in rule over it, never has had one. Notice the original author isn't quite sure whether the United States is a Democracy or a Republic. Looks like they probably tried to find out though, even though many Americans don't know either. The U.S. is a Constitutional Republic as written in its Constitution, not a Democracy. It has a 'democratic' style... of government through elected representatives.

I hope you've realized by now geo, that list of Scripture quotes is most likely propaganda originally put together by a Muslim. They call America "the great Satan", and would treat America as the Babylon of Revelation 17 & 18.

In regards to the Revelation use of "Babylon", it is specifically applied to a "great city", a certain city, and points to endtimes Jerusalem. If you'd study the Old Testament prophets more, you'll discover where God referred to fallen Jerusalem using pagan names when her people fell away from Him into false worship. The Revelation usage is patterned after God's usage in the OT prophets. In the sense of the one world beast system of Rev.13:1, the word Babylon could be applied to the whole, meaning all nations in the end which will be under the beast's control. But our Lord chose to use it specifically for Jerusalem, because that's where the epicenter of false worship is going to be for the end of days prior to His return.
