At what extent is humility considered ridiculous? All the pastors in my church behave alike. Some use 'humble to a fault' to qualify them.

My church president very rarely bothers about 'special seats' during ceremonies, services etc. He is comfortable sitting among the ordinary people...if there is anything like that in Christianity (I hope you understand what I mean).

We used to eat with him from his own plate when we were little kids.
He visits all our church members, attends all weddings by a member anywhere in the country - as far as travelling to Gaza
Everybody has his phone number.

He does not want special vehicles. He cares about simple stuff.

I googled his name the other time to realise the numerous accomplishments he has made - Splendid deeds. But these were written by other People (and not him). Wonderful accomplishments! Yet my church president has never for once shown pride.

I met a friend and some friends who say all these are nonsense -that only demean the image of the man and christianity. (He is a PhD holder)
They said: a president of such calibre should seat in the best seats, ride in flamboyant cars, must have special escort...and that all these are not the teachings of Jesus (one bringing one's self low).They do not portray humility.
Man, these my friends (some of which are ministers) believe in 'image': we are the ones blessed by God.
...
I don't imply his humility makes him stupid.
What can you say about this situations?
