The Truth Behind St. Valentine’s Day

St. Valentine’s Day is the world’s “holiday of love.” Since the Bible states that God is love (I John 4:8, 16), does He approve of the celebration of this day? Does He want His people—true Christians—partaking of the candy and cards, or any customs associated with this day?

I found it amazing how sanitized valentines day is now when compared to it's original roots. It just goes to show how we have changed as a human race.
 
So because nobody but one person said anything I guess some of you will get your sweetheart some sweets and a card ?
 
what do you see wrong with it? do you sweat over Christmas presents easter eggs and easter bunnies for Children ? provided they are told the true meaning of the later 2. valentines day is just a calendar day to do something sweet for your spouse . my self i am taking my wife out to eat friday. as we may have 3 little girls at our house this weekend.. we been doing this since the end of NOV. there mom had premature babies twins one of them passed. but i find no issue with valentines day. do you see something devilish about it?

No not really, I never really thought of it until I heard that it was pagan, so at that point I had to check it out. And Easter eggs is another topic

I found valentines history very interesting lewis, but I don't follow societies trends anyway.
 
there are alot of things related pagan but not practiced the original tent. i know parents that won,t let their children go trick or treating . because they think its devil night.:screwloose2. it takes common sense just don,t let it become a evil practice. let kids enjoy good clean fun. :amen
