But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. Hebrews 8:6
My precious brethren
WalterandDebbie, your scripture triggered all manner of thoughts I hope is not against the context of your own thinking, but here goes.
Heb 8:4 For if he (Jesus) were on earth, He should not be a priest, seeing that there are
priests that
offer gifts according to the law.
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
What about us? Are we not also dead to the law? Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God, and we too are risen from the dead as it were.
Eph 1:3 Blessed
be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly
places in Christ:
Eph 2:6 And (God) hath raised
us up together, and made
us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what
is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
