Anyone here own a camper?
Anyone ever bought a camper only to regret it because you find that the trailer camping experience is not worth the expense or hassles?

What's your experiences?

I'm tired of tent camping and toying with the idea of having a camper.

We usually try to find a reasonable cabin rental. We've talked about buying a small piece of land in the mountains and finding a cheap camper to put on it and leave there. Most people have told us not to do that because of taxes-- that we would come out better just to do it the way we've been doing it.

It still might be worth looking in to.

I've been on a camper for a tour of the mid-west and while the theory of it all sounds great, believe me, there is nothing that competes with the tent experience!

After a while, the camper becomes a crutch and you don't even get out that much.

Just my thoughts but great post since camping weather is upon us!

Being an ex boy scout and a nature boy at heart, the tent is the only thing I would ever consider. I've even been taught to live off the land (and water). :-D
