I will go to my grave having never been convinced via the Preterist theory that The War of Ezekiel 38–39 already happened in the first centruy. The drying of the river, where are the graves of these 200 million men? how was an army that large assembled? The China Army or the population for that matter may not have even been at such a large number back then. It is now,, as female babies in China are either aborted or given up for adoption hense so many Chinese men.
The only thing that impressed me was Parousia talking about the Weaponry in this conflict which was a very good argument. Yet Russsian Cossacks are all on horseback to this day. I have studied them.

Revelation 16:12 The sixth angel poured his bowl on the great Euphrates River. Its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the east.
An army of 200 million led by "the kings from the east" will march across Asia toward Israel during the Tribulation, Revelation 16:12 indicates that this army will be held up at the Euphrates River until its water is suddenly dried up, enabling them to cross and proceed to the Valley of Armageddon.
How in the heck do they plan to dry this River? Will god dry the River? Why would God do that for an attack on Israel?
Throughout history the Euphrates River has been an impenetrable military barrier between East and West. However, the government of Turkey recently constructed the huge Ataturk Dam that can now dam up the waters of the Euphrates for the first time in history. It's just a push of a button.

In July of this year the New York Times reported that the River was drying on its own. Yet the bible seems to suggest the river is "suddenly dried". This might suggest the conflict is sooner then we think. It would have to happen before the river dries up.

If you study Ezekiel 38–39 take a look at the countries that will make war with Israel in the end days.. now look at the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
