Aschliee had an interest in meeting anyone over the internet.
Age was no threat to her. It wouldn't surprise me if she was even lied to about the age of the person who abducted her.

ORIGINAL STORY
There have been little or no leads regarding Aschliee's disappearence. The one lead Police officials do have is that it is believed she may have been abducted by a 40 year old man from Pennsylvania that she corresponded with on the internet.
Aschliee was known to spend a lot of time in internet chatrooms and while her parents were aware of her net usage they, like many others, never imagined she could be chatting to older males and arranging possible meetings.

Her father Michael Everett stated: "My biggest concern is whoever she's with, is not letting her call. My daughter would call and say, 'Daddy, I'm fine,' and she's not calling me."

Elyria detectives aren't sure whether Aschliee is still in the area or in Pennsylvania. They're working with Philadelphia police to track down the 40-year-old, known only as "Mike."

The case is still being investigated.

I don't see any harm or sin in joining any dating site outside of those "discreet" dating services.

You can chat to people before you meet them, if you want to meet them.
