Special relativity states that a particle WITH rest mass cannot move at the speed of light.

Photons do not have rest mass. So what you are talking about is inapplicable.

No particle can travel at C if it has mass.

2) Photons have a rest mass of zero because they have no mass at the speed of light either.

Energy is something which can be changed into mass.

What sense would Einstien's ewuation make if the meaning was that energy was mass before any change???

To say that Energy can be changed into mass and visa verse would be meaningless if both were ALREADY mass.

3. lol. Mass energy equivalence is the concept that mass of a particle is a measurement of its energy content. Mass is a property of energy. Energy is a property of mass and they are connected by a constant, the speed of light.

The equation E = mc2 indicates that energy always exhibits relativistic mass in whatever form the energy takes. Mass–energy equivalence does not imply that mass may be "converted" to energy, but it allows for matter to be converted to energy.


In short, the equation does not say, or is it meant to say, that energy can be changed into mass or vice versa so your conclusion is irrelevant to the actual implications of the equation.

The LATEST news is that Einstein remains correct, neutrinos do NOT travel faster than Photons.
